In modern times, if a person has a beautiful face, and at the same time has some wealth and ability, the guru will also care about him, and the Dharma friends will be very close to him.
For those who are truly afraid of pain and abandon this life, people will say that he is just a very foolish person, a fool, a person with no goal and future, and what he says and does is hypocritical.
If you want to practice the true Dharma, what should you do first?
First of all, we must identify our faults one by one, just like when we study the sutras, we must confirm every thing and its Dharma aspects one by one.
Another example is a bottle, which must be round and hollow to store water. therefore We should treat our mistakes as cancer or a disease that cannot be cured, and transform and correct our mistakes with a state of caution and fear.
There is such a metaphor in the "Theory of Entering the Bodhisattva":
Neuropaths in mental hospitals will spit in the doctor's face and even beat the doctor, but the doctor will not be angry and angry with them because of this, why?
Because the doctor knows that the other party is a patient and a mentally ill person, So don't get angry.
In the same way, we do not need to develop hatred towards those who are trapped by greed, anger, jealousy, arrogance, and afflictions, and for those who are full of troubles.
Just like doctors do not get angry when facing a mentally ill person, although their bodies are not troubled by disease, their hearts are tormented by greed and anger and other five poisonous troubles.
Scientists say that when a person is very angry, the various cells in his body will turn into harmful bacteria due to his anger, and at this time, the saliva and saliva he spits out will be filled with poisonous bacteria, and if these saliva and saliva are eaten by insects, the insects will die.
Greed and ignorance are these burning troubles, which we usually don't regard as diseases, but in the true sense, it is actually a kind of heart disease, and it is a very serious disease.
We ourselves have a great fault in this regard, but we try our best to hide it, pretending that we are not at fault.
But even if someone has a small fault as big as a small bowl of beans in Indian curry soup, we have to dig it up and show it to others, saying that they have such a fault.
In fact, before correcting the faults of others, first of all, we must suppress our own faults like a mountain. You don't have the time and leisure to find other people's faults, and you yourself are weighed down by such a big mistake, let alone mention others.
Therefore, you must first heal your own illness and then correct others. The Tibetan Buddhist master Kaden Chenbei said in his writings that in the time of the Buddha, a disciple asked the Buddha, "Is there a edge in the world, is there a me in the world?"
At that time, the Buddha did not give a direct answer, but said a metaphor:
What would you do if you went into the forest and encountered a hunter, and you were hit by his shotgun, and you were seriously injured?
Will you go find the killer or heal your gunshot wound first? What would you do?
The Buddha used this parable to prompt him.
Don't worry about those great truths that are boundless without self, but first manage your own afflictions and knowledge, and think about your own faults.
If it were you, you would first explore which direction the murderer fired the gun from, who fired the gun, and how did you get shot? Or will you go to heal and save your life first?
In the same way, we must first face up to our mistakes and treat them as a very important and urgent matter to correct them, rather than blaming others for their mistakes.
In addition to being very eloquent, he is also very good at fighting, and he is also quite intelligent in the world's karma, so everyone regards him as a very powerful person.
If you regard a sinful person as a good person, you attach special importance to the sin karma they have created, which also proves that you are also covered by afflictions, so you are particularly fond of creating sinful karma.
A wise man or a sage who knows that reincarnation does not have instant happiness, they only hope that they can become a true practitioner, and they do not want to undertake the worldly Dharma, this is the truly powerful and brave person.
