Each character of the six-character Great Ming Mantra has a different meaning. At that time, Guanshiyin Bodhisattva transformed into a fly in the pig pen in order to save the animals. When the pigs heard the "buzz" sound made by the flies incarnated by Guanshiyin Bodhisattva, they were immediately liberated. མཎི(Mani) symbolizes Mani orb.If you sincerely pray to it, you will receive inexhaustible, endless material wealth and satisfy all spiritual needs.

པདྨེ(Padmi) symbolizes the lotus that emerges from the mud and remains unstained.As long as sentient beings recite these two words in the Six-Syllable Great Ming Mantra, they will be like lotus flowers. Although they are in the evil world of five turbidities, their body and mind will be as pure and trouble-free as lotus flowers.

ཧཱུྃ(Hum) symbolizes achievement.If you want to become a Buddha and reach the realm of Buddha, all sentient beings should make offerings to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas with respect and sincerity, accumulate merit step by step, and benefit all sentient beings in order to reach the realm of Buddha.

The Six-Character Mantra of Buddhism, also known as the "Six-Character Mantra", is "Om Mani Paimi Hum". Tibetan Buddhism believes that regular recitation of the Six-Character Mantra can eliminate the fear of illness, punishment, and untimely death, increase life span, and increase wealth. Therefore, in Tibetan areas, you can often see people turning prayer wheels and reciting the "Six-Character Mantra".

The Chinese character is transliterated as "hum ( ōng) Well ( mā)Woolen cloth( nī)( bēi) Mi( mēi) hum( h òng)。It is the most revered mantra in Tibetan Buddhism. Esoteric Buddhism believes that this is the fundamental mantra of the Secret Lotus Department, which is also the true teaching of Avalokitesvara of the Lotus Department, so it is called the Six-Character Mantra.

Sanskrit or Tibetan letters (temples in Mongolian areas also use Pasiba) are often used to write, draw, and carve on building eaves, ceilings, door frames, large and small religious utensils, rocks, and stone slabs.

The six-character Great Ming Mantra is an expansion of the three characters "Om Ah Hum". Its connotation is extremely rich, infinite in mystery, and supreme. It contains the great power, great wisdom, and great compassion in the universe.

This mantra is the subtle original mind of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. A long time ago, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva himself practiced this mantra and became a Buddha. The Buddha is called Zhengfa Ming Tathagata. Om( ōng) Well ( mā)Woolen cloth( nī)( bēi) Mi( mēi) hum( h òng), The meaning of each word is different, but each word represents endless merit and great benefits. Even if you only meditate one or two of the words, you will get a lot of merit.


“"Om" means the heart of Buddha,Representing the three bodies of Dharma, Retribution, and Transformation, it can also be said to be the Three Vajras (Body Vajra, Speech Vajra, and Mind Vajra), which are the wisdom body, speech, and mind of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

“"Mani" means treasure heart,It is the Mani Pearl, which is inexhaustible and can satisfy all your wishes. Praying to it will naturally bring you spiritual needs and various material wealth.

“"Bami" means lotus heart,It is a lotus flower that emerges from the mud but remains unstained, which means that although modern people are in the reincarnation of the evil world of five turbidities, by reciting this mantra, they can get rid of their worries and achieve purity.

“"Hum" means Vajra Heart,It means that prayers come true. We must rely on the power of the Buddha to practice step by step, practice diligently, save all sentient beings, achieve everything, and finally reach the realm of the Buddha.
