由此可见，悟与证是两回事。理上悟了，还不能了脱存亡，还必须继续修行断见思二惑，断尽见思二惑那才真正证四果阿罗汉，了脱存亡轮回。再继续修至断尽尘沙惑证十信位菩萨。继续断一品无明惑，证初住位菩萨……一直不断断无明惑，直至无明惑断尽才是成果觉行满意的佛果。所以靠自力修行成佛，其实并不简单，由于我们人的寿数有限，在未修成时寿数若完毕，那么再轮回就不一定会继续修行，这也是为什么很多祖师大德建议往生极乐修行成佛的原因。

断见惑如断四十里流，况思惑乎?
