Knowledge of the Three Learnings
Writings by Zen Master Baiyun
Learn precepts in order to prevent transgressions.
Learn concentration in order to face distraction.
Learn wisdom in order to avoid ignorance.
How to learn to quit?
Understand the harm of greed from hearing and seeing, do not commit it, and must observe the precepts.
How to learn concentration?
To cultivate the influence of anger through tranquility and vipassanā, it must not be messed up, but must be practiced.
How to learn wisdom?
Be alert to the consequences of ignorance from your thoughts, do not be confused, and must cultivate wisdom.
The Buddha established his teachings and aimed at all sentient beings with the three impeccable learnings of precepts, concentration, and wisdom. Unavoidable defects will occur in the actions of the body, speech, and mind.; Promote cultivation according to the law, reach perfection, and reach the state of perfection.
Thus knowing, thus learning, and thus practicing, this is the only way to follow the Buddha's teachings!
