Lectures on the Demonstration of the Seal Light

2、According to the "Avatamsaka Sutra: Entering the Dharma Realm Chapter", the Pure Land Dharma is the ultimate method.

(1)Reject the skin of the emperor

【Paper] You only know that foolish men and women can also recite the Buddha's name, so you will despise the Pure Land.

You should know that because foolish men and women are willing to follow their duties and recite the Buddha's name honestly, they can "understand the wisdom of Buddha and secretly conform to the wonderful things of the Tao". Such great and extraordinary benefits are mostly obtained by foolish men and women.Haven't you seen: I have always claimed to be smart, but it is coming to the 30th day of the twelfth lunar month [1]When they arrive, they are mostly busy; if the foolish man and the woman are honest in reciting the Buddha's name, they will be able to be reborn in the Pure Land with peace and ease.

For example, Master Lianchi compiled the second volume of "Collection of Rebirth" and recorded the deeds of "Pu Cui":

Song Dongping (Belongs to Shandong Province )Liang's mother Cui Po, Zibo (belongs to Zibo City, Shandong Province )People are vegetarians throughout their lives and are extremely stupid and cannot compete with their peers for their strengths and weaknesses.Miss Mother, Mrs. Chao, pay attention to Zen.Cui Chaoxi is by my side, but he can recite Amitabha Buddha, and he is very devout.If you don’t hold several beads, you can’t know that they are tens of millions of times.At the age of 72, I was unable to get out of bed due to a thirst hole, but my mind became more and more intense.Suddenly, if nothing happens, (Sing )Verse says:

The West is good at practicing all the way, without any ridges and pits;

When you go, you don’t need shoes and socks, and you will grow step by step on the lotus.

Satire and chant endlessly.Someone asked: Who said? Cui said: What I did.Question: When will the mother-in-law be able to do it? Answer: Go to Shen.If it is gone at that time.Burn it with the monk's Dharma, and the tongue alone does not transform, like a lotus. (《Complete Works of Master Lianchi" Page 2540, Seal of Guanghua Temple in Fujian )

People like Cui Po can be said to be "fool women".However, even the most noble people in the Saha world can't stand it.

Today's example: Shami Nironxiang (1887—1965),The daughter of the Wang family in Zhuanghe, Liaoning, is suitable for the Lu family.He is kind-hearted and begins to learn Buddhism at the age of 50 and surrenders to his devotion.I was illiterate and inspired to recite the "Amitabha Sutra", "Mantra of Rebirth", and "Mantra of Great Compassion" as daily classes.He holds rosary all day long and chants the Buddha's name.Whenever I recite the scripture, I read the scriptures and say, "The lotus in the pond is as big as a wheel, with green light, yellow light, red light, white light." I always feel happy and say to people: "I wish the lotus in white light."”

1960At the age of 73, he joined his daughter in Liaoyuan Amitabha Temple and became a monk, and became more and more diligent in reciting Buddha's name.In 1965, at the age of 78, on the eighth day of the twelfth lunar month, on the day of Buddha's enlightenment, he followed the crowd to recite the ceremony in the main hall and returned to the dormitory. He felt that he was annoyed and stopped eating, but he drank boiled water and had no other diseases.If you encourage medicinal medicine and diet, you will feel purified. If you take medicine or diet, you will feel filthy.Sitting on the kang and sitting on the small table, reciting scriptures and mantras as usual.

After the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month, he chanted the Buddha's name and said to his daughter: "I have seen the white lotus.""The chief and deputy always look forward to it.When I was about the Spring Festival, I said to Neng: "I have seen the Western Pure Land, and countless Bodhisattvas and saints all step on lotus barefoots. When I pass away, don't wear cotton shoes."What he sees is the same as the scriptures say.He also said, "When I pass away, I have to sit and build a niche.""At that time, there was only a coffin, and you had to apply for purchase.Tell me: "When you die, apply a hot towel to your joints until they are alive and soft, and then put them in a coffin."Longxiang said, "If this is the case, there is no need to worry about it. I will take the auspicious place to lie down.”

At 8 am on the second day of the first lunar month, he said to himself: "The time is coming.""Clean bathe, wearing Haiqing, and lying on your right flank.Eight or nine people from all the nuns in the temple came to chant.At first, Longxiang could still follow the public's thoughts, but then the voice gradually faded. At around 9 o'clock, his face was pleasant and he passed away peacefully.Cremation bone (Sali )Like millet, it is sprinkled on the mountains, forests and hills according to its will.

Similar examples, from ancient times to the present, are numerous.From this we can see that if one is wise and wise, or if one is obsessed with reason and is unable to recite the Buddha's name honestly, it will be a big mistake.It is advisable to be careful!

(2)Show correct knowledge

【Thesis] Why not read the "Avatamsaka Sutra·Entering the Dharma Realm Chapter" after Shancai attained all the Buddhas, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva taught him to make the ten great vows and dedicate the rebirth of the Western Paradise in order to achieve the perfect Buddhahood, and to encourage the people of Huazanghai to do this!

The Ten Great Wishes Kings have been included in "Recitation of Morning and Dusk".Therefore, the Pure Land Dharma is actually the ultimate method for the great Bodhisattvas of Huazanghai to complete the Buddhahood.Therefore, the "Avatamsaka Sutra: Samantabhadra Bodhisattva's Practice and Vows" is one of the five Pure Land Sutras.Today, most people who practice pure karma in the world regard this as a regular lesson.If you uphold the Ten Great Vows, as the scripture says:

In the last moment when a person dies, all the senses are dispersed and destroyed, all relatives are abandoned, and all powers are lost. The ministers, inside and outside the palace, elephant, horse, carriage, and treasures are hidden. In this way, everything is not followed. Only this vow king will not abandon each other, and will guide him in all times, and in an instant, he will be reborn in the Pure Land.

Once you reach the point, you will see Amitabha Buddha, Manjushri Bodhisattva, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, Maitreya Bodhisattva, etc.These Bodhisattvas have dignified appearance and merits, and are surrounded by them.

The person saw that he was born in the lotus and was given a prophecy by the Buddha.After being given a prophecy, he went through countless hundreds of millions of nayuta kalpas, and was in the world that could not be said in the world that could not be said in the world that could not be said in the world. With his wisdom and power, he followed the hearts of sentient beings, and he made his benefit.

Soon we will sit in the Bodhi Temple, subdue the demon army, achieve equal enlightenment, and become wonderful *The wheel can enable sentient beings in the Buddha's land to develop bodhicitta and follow their roots and cultivate them.Even in the future, it can benefit all sentient beings.

Good man! Those sentient beings, if they hear or believe in this great vow, receive, uphold, read and recite it, and widely told them that all the merits will be excluded from the Buddha and the World Honored One, and the rest of the ignorant ones.

(3)Refers to the ultimate - the Pure Land Dharma is the realm of Buddha

【Thesis] There are no ordinary people in the Huazang Sea, and they are forty-one Dharmakaya Bodhisattvas.If you both break ignorance and realize the Dharma nature, you can all ride the original vow wheel and appear as a Buddha in the world without Buddha.In addition, in the sea of Huazang, there are countless Pure Land, and those who must dedicate themselves to rebirth in the Western Paradise can see that rebirth in the Pure Land is a mysterious gate of suffering and a shortcut to becoming a Buddha.

Forty-one Dharmakaya Bodhisattvas: the ten-stage positions of the perfect teaching, the ten-stage positions, the ten-stage dedication positions, the ten-stage positions and the equal enlightenment positions.All of them are divided into breaking ignorance and delusions, and they are divided into realizing the Dharma body of eternal silence and light.The Bodhisattva of the first stage of existence can manifest the eight stages of enlightenment to save sentient beings in one hundred three thousand great worlds.The second dwelling will lead to the world, and the position will increase and the third virtue will be better than the position. (Prajna, Liberation, Dharmakaya Virtue )。

It is the mysterious gate of suffering: if you say it to ordinary people, it will be out of the suffering of life and death; if you say it to Bodhisattvas outside the world, it will be out of the suffering of life and death.Whether it is for ordinary people in the realm or Bodhisattvas outside the realm, it is a shortcut to becoming a Buddha.

Zen Master Chewu said:

This method of chanting Buddha's name is like a universal covering of heaven and a universal holding of earth. No one can go beyond or in it.For example, although the entire Sutra of "Avatamsaka Sutra" is different in five weeks and four parts, the word "cause and effect" should be completely eliminated.The forty-one causal minds do not seek fruit awareness without one mind. Are all the practices practiced by the forty-one? Then, Samantabhadra led the ten great vows to the Pure Land, and became a great acupoint for the entire sutra?

In addition, the "Avatamsaka Sutra" means that the Buddhahood of the One Vehicle is adorned with the fruit of all actions.Is this all practice not the practice of reciting the Buddha's name?

《"The Avatamsaka Sumi Girl, the Insatiable King, the Shengre Brahmin and other countless sects, but they all show the realm of Vipassana.Is this infinite gate not the Buddhist gate chanting?

《The Lotus Sutra, from beginning to end, is nothing more than enlightenment and enlightenment into the Buddha's knowledge and views.Isn’t this the only way to recite the Buddha’s name at all times?

《The Shurangama Sutra initially shows the nature of hiding the true cause of becoming a Buddha.Secondly, choose perfect enlightenment to show the wonderful practice of becoming a Buddha.After the sixty holy positions, he completed Bodhi, returned to nothing, and attained the ultimate fruit of the Buddha's land.If you follow this, you will become the seven realms of sinking; if you look at this, you will understand the disturbance of the five demons.At the end, it is said that someone has four levels and ten paramitas, and they will pass through this prescription and other Avici Hell in an instant, and even exhaust the ten directions of infinite distance. If you can use this method in one thought and teach you that you have not learned in the last kalpa, you will eliminate the sins and obstacles of people, and change the cause of suffering in hell, and become a happy country.This is the only way to recite the Buddha's name from beginning to end.

The three treasures and twelve divisions of the Buddha's generation are taught in the three treasures and twelve divisions, half-full, full, partial, and sudden gradual methods, which are nothing more than just showing the mind's own nature and achieving the supreme wonderful enlightenment! Is it not the general method of chanting Buddha's name?

As for Zen Buddhism, Master Bodhidharma came to the west, but he should say: It is easy to point directly to the human heart and see the nature.But those who become Buddhas are not chanting Buddhas, but are not chanting Buddhas? Therefore, the two schools, five schools, and five schools, are combined with the 1,700 cases, but only guide people to the original nature of mind and nature, showing that they have a pure Dharma body.The Dharma body is horizontal and vertical, and everything is everywhere. However, those who practice Zen must appear in front of you at all times and correspond to each other.What is this not the method of chanting Buddha? As for the word "Buddha", I don't like to hear it. The words "killing" and "eating a dog" all show that the Dharma body is at a higher level and the wonderful and convenient way, which is true chanting Buddha.Often, ignorant people say that people in the sect should not chant Buddha's name.This is not just because of not knowing how to recite the Buddha's name, how can you truly know the sect?

This is not just the two doors of religion.Even those who do not want to recite the Buddha's name or know the Buddha's name in the world cannot do other than the method of reciting the Buddha's name.By the way, the movement and stillness are all leading this way.The people use it every day but don’t know it.So-called:

If you don’t say anything, there will be images in your heart. Where can all spirits thank you for your selflessness?

After the peach blossoms and rain, the horse's hooves are free from the red leaves!

3、According to the "Morning and Dusk Recitation" of the World Jungle, the general practice of the Pure Land Method is to understand the Pure Land Method.

(1)Proof of

【Thesis] Therefore, since ancient times, all Zen and Buddhist monks have always chanted the Buddha's name in the morning and evening to seek rebirth in the West.

Master Yin Guang once said: "All Dharma doors flow from this Dharma realm, and all practice doors return to this Dharma realm."If practitioners in the world, no matter the exoteric and esoteric sects, if they leave the Pure Land Dharma, they will definitely be like the spring breeze floating willow catkins, and they will not know what they are going to do.

According to the "Pure Land Or Question" by Zen Master Tianru Weize, Tianru said:

I once heard an old man say: "Together with the five sects, all the Zen monks in the world, and there is no one who does not return to the Pure Land if they have realized it or not."Because of this.Then he said:

For example, Zen Master Baizhang Dazhihai was taught by Mazu, Jiangxi Province. (Legitimate )Zi, the world's jungle was established according to him, and no one dared to argue from ancient times to the present; the world's clear rules were held according to him, and from the beginning to the end, nothing dared to violate the law.He read the rules he recited for the sick monk: "Gather the crowd to raise a verse in one voice, praising Amitabha Buddha.He also claimed to recite Namo Amitabha Buddha, either a hundred or a thousand.Dedicate the wish to say: All the causes are not over, and you will be relieved early; your life cannot escape, so you will be safe and well."Is this not the reference to the Pure Land? I saw that he sent the deceased monks to the death, and the public recited and dedicated their wishes and said: "The gods transcend the pure realm, and the karma is free from dust and labor, and the lotus blooms the highest-grade flowers, and the Buddha gives a life story."Is this not the reference to the Pure Land? As for the time of cremation, there is nothing else to do, but Vina sings "Namo the Western Paradise of Great Compassion and Compassion" "Amitabha Buddha."In this way, the public is sang ten times and the general public is called "Ten Recitations".After singing, he returned to the remark: "Come up and praise the ten thoughts to support the rebirth."Is this not the reference to the Pure Land? Since a hundred feet, all the monks who send me food to me will follow this method.However, the so-called "Sections of the Five Families and the Zen monks in the world" are not one who does not return to the Pure Land, wouldn't that be it?

(2)Warning

【Paper] When did you practice it every day, and you would slander it?What Confucian books say is that "if you practice it, you will not know it every day." No one is the most important thing about it.

Confucian calligraphy says, "If you practice it, you will not know it every day." [2],Similar to some people in the world, their parents raise them from their birth and even when they grow up.After he became sensible, he did not know or understand his parents' kindness to him as heaven and earth.On the other hand, they are unfilial to their parents, disobey their parents, and even kill them.

For example, a person breathes and survives in the air, but does not know the importance of air. Once there is no air, he will feel that it is too late and the person is dead.I often see people who study Buddhism and refuse to chant Buddha's name until they are helpless when they die, and they remember to chant Buddha's name. However, it is often ineffective and cannot do anything.I will go with my karma, but I don’t know when I will return!

4、Confirm its mistakes

(1)Requested

【Thesis] The "Avatamsaka Sutra" is the king of all sutras, and the king is in the Three Collections.If you don’t believe in the Huayan Sutra, you will be the Adamanthi.Even if you do not have any absent, you will eventually fall into the end of retribution.

Yi Jianti is the one who cuts off good roots.The master's knowledge and views were stripped away by the subject of his "reluctance to matters and reason, and concealed cause and effect" layer by layer. The inner essence revealed is equivalent to the "Yanti" person, who has cut off his good roots.Therefore, I pointed out for him: Even if you don’t show up, you will fall into hell, and you will never be spared after death.Wujian means Avici Hell, as explained before.

(2)Inspire and transform

【Paper] I want to get rid of suffering and seek rebirth in the Pure Land, but you want to get suffering and slander the "Avatamsaka Sutra".You keep your will, and I follow my way.The generals did not get off their horses and each went for their future.The truth is different and we don’t plan for each other.You go, I won’t say anything to you!

The above, the main discussion is to explain the great things about the master's knowledge and views.Because this is a major Buddhist event related to the eyes of human and heavenly beings and the eyes of Dharma, it is not allowed to be expressed in the future and is selfless.It seems ruthless, but in fact it is a great compassionate heart, playing hard to get, to see if you are a person who sincerely wants to seek the truth.

(two )Decide and make a wish

1、Analysis of the doubt of "Silent light is not necessary to be born, die and surrender"

(1)The Master humbly presented his opinion of "Dong and Concealing the Difficulties"

【Thesis] He said: The Tao is important and the great and clear, and I doubt it must be cleared. How can the teacher refuse it?I have heard of Vairocana everywhere.Where the Buddha dwells is called Eternal Light.Then, if you only realize the Dharma body, you should be the Pure Land of Silence and Light. Why should you use the mind of birth and death to let the east take the west and then gain it?

The master humbly asked for advice and expressed his view that he "don't care about things and concealed the cause and effect."This kind of knowledge is quite representative and must be focused on clarifying it.

Tianru's "Pure Land Or Question" says:

Do you dare to ask if you are happy, disgusted, choose and give up, and have no love, hate, and can do things? The answer is: You don’t know what you say.This is not the ability and place of love, hate and love in the world. This is the universal method of the Tathagata in the ten directions to transform into saints.If you are not disgusted with giving up, how can you turn into ordinary things? If you are not satisfied with taking, how can you become a saint? Therefore, from ordinary people to the holy position, from the holy position to the equal enlightenment, they will go up to the equal, and there is nothing more than enjoyment and disgust.The most wonderful enlightenment is the end of the destiny.Therefore, the four wisdoms (Zunshi )The master said: The ultimate choice is nothing different from not choosing or not.Moreover, the Pure Land method is only one transformation mechanism, and the common establishment of Sakyamuni and Amitabha is this (This recipe is Saga )Refer to the past, that (Midao )Receive it.If you are not tired of giving up, you have no reason to leave this; if you are not happy to take it, you have no part to give birth to that.

(ask )Can the theory of rebirth not be contrary to the principle of non-birth? The answer is: (one )Rooftop (Master Zhiyan )It is said: The wise man is eager to rebirth in the Pure Land and achieves the body (The body of idealism )Unable to obtain means true birthlessness.This is called the pure mind, so the Buddha's land is pure (The use of idealism )。Fools are bound by life, and when they hear about life, they will be interpreted as birth; when they hear about life, they will be interpreted as birthless.Don’t know that birth is no birth, and that birth is no birth is no birth (This is based on the meaning of )。(two )Long reed (Zen Master Zhenxueqing )It is said: Those who live as life are common things to lose; those who live as life as life are eliminated by the confusion of the view; those who live without birth and are born without birth are the ultimate truth (This is from the end of the )。(three )Tianyi (Zen Master Yihuai )He said: If you are born, you will definitely be born. If you go, you will not go. (This is engaged in theory )。The three schools have very clear ideas.Now (Zen Master Tianruweize )It is further explained by the word "nature and appearance". (Four )The wonderful true nature is originally without birth, and the combination of causes and conditions means that there is a birth form.Because its properties show appearance, it is said that no birth is born; because its appearance appears from nature, it is said that no birth is born. (This is from the nature of )。If you know this, you will know that the birth of Pure Land is born only by the mind and born without birth. Why is the principle contrary to it? (Putian version of "Ten Essentials of Pure Land" Pages 220 and 221 )

Master Lianchi Yun:

It is said that the Pure Land of Only Mind is there, and there is a Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss beyond ten trillion worlds.This theory of the mind is originally derived from the scriptures, and it is true and not false.But those who refer to it mistakenly understand the purpose.The mind is the environment, and there is no environment outside the mind; the environment is the mind, and there is no mind outside the mind.Since the environment is all the mind, why should we calm down and conquer the mind and dispel the environment? To ease the environment and speak the mind, we have not reached the mind....If the mind appears in hell, he will fall into the real hell; if the mind appears in the Pure Land, he will not be born in the Pure Land of Reality! (Taipei version of "Bamboo Window Two Pens" page 145 )

The poem of Sheng'an says:

It is said that Pure Land is only mind-minded, and more than 100,000 journeys are external seeking.

But the mind is in it, (Original note: If you say that the west of the ten trillion Buddha kingdoms is an outside seeker, you will recognize that the mind is in the inner world, and you will be one of the seven places that Ananda plans. )I don’t know that the true nature is fully accepted. (Original note: The "Lingyun Sutra" says: "You should know that the void is born in your heart, just like a piece of clouds pointing in Taiqing, let alone the worlds are in the void!" )

The shadows in the mirror of Amitabha Buddhas are fermented on the water in the Pure Land of Saha.

I am tired of making choices and enjoyment without worries, and I am willing to travel around my house. (Original note: I appreciate the purity of my own mind, and I give up my own mind, and I hate the filth of my own mind. I take and give up my own mind, so I don’t hinder the mind. What is the difference? )

He advised him to rebirth to speak with his face, but he was full of greed but misty.

After all, there is life. (Original note: Those who hold on to the vanishing view say that after death, they will never be born.If you don’t know how to lead your knowledge, you will be able to return to your child.Apart from reciting the Buddha's name, there is no place to escape )Leaving each other, still staying in the face. (Original note: If you say that after death, you will not seek rebirth, you will not be attached to appearances.It is to be free from the "dependence" aspect and to give birth to the "destruction" aspect.Those who eliminate the appearance are evil views )

The integration of thoughts and Buddha is the only way to be (Original note: Jingxi [Zhanran] says: "The body is not two, and the name is the same."The intelligent people in modern times all say "it is the heart and the Buddha."When he persuaded him to chant the Buddha's name, he said "attached to appearances".I don’t know that chanting Buddha’s name and mind is originally one.But if you obsess with the mind and do not believe in chanting Buddha's name, then the mind and Buddha are two, so how can you get the name "Is it"? )The mind is different but does not know that it is empty. (Original note: The fact that things show the truth and name are true emptiness, and the matter seeks truth and name are evil and empty.The wise people in modern times also know that "the mind is pure and pure". When talking about Pure Land, they are called attachment to appearances.Don’t know that there is no soil outside the heart, and there is no mind outside the earth.But if you hold on to the mind and do not believe in the Pure Land, then the mind and the earth are divided into two parts.This evil takes emptiness, not true emptiness. )

After you forget the mind and Buddha, the sun shines and mountains and rivers are connected everywhere.

If you take rebirth as a delusion, (Original note: Some say that chanting Buddha's name is a method of absorbing delusion. If you seek rebirth in the West, it will be translated into delusion. )How can you say that you will become true if you live here? (Original note: If it is said that rebirth in the West is a delusion, then living in the Saha world, and delusions are even more serious! )

It is unreasonable to not touch things. (Original note: If I say that I do not seek rebirth now, nor do I stay with this, and do not attach to both, and be reborn at will, this is especially unreasonable.What? It is not a Dharmakaya, nor a saint who is incarnated. Desire and love have not been eliminated and karma has not been eliminated. If you do not reborn in the West, you will be reborn in this land.Once you are born in this land, you are still in reincarnation.The three paths are divided by karma, so how can we be reborn at will! )Forget both purity and filth are also dust. (Original note: This is just a thought that forgets both pure and impure, which is also a plot of emotion, and is still captured by Dharma dust.If you really forget both sides, what will happen to your survival? )

The birth is originally without the four lands, and seeing is still separated from seeing the three bodies.

It is important to know that truth and delusion are the same, and the origin of mystery and enlightenment is always in people.

Master Dongchu said in "Buddhism after the Destruction of Buddha": "The Pure Land Sect also takes Nagarjuna as the basis.The "Easy to Practice" in the "Ten Abhidharma Vaibhasa" is the outline of the name of the Pure Land.The so-called Holy Tao Gate and the two Gate are called together.” (《Modern Buddhist Academic Series" Volume 92 Page 78, Beijing Library Press )

The second gate, judged by Zen Master Daochuo of Tang Dynasty.1. The Holy Way Gate: The teachings of sentient beings in this land from ordinary people to practice the Tao from the most holy people; 2. The Pure Land Gate: The teachings of faith, aspiration, chanting the Buddha's name to be reborn in the Pure Land of Amitabha and attaining the holy fruit.

(2)On the main responsibility for the failure of "adhering to reason and abolishing the practice"

【Thesis】I said: How easy is it? Although the Pure Land of Silent Light is the place, it is not a person who can understand the ultimate wisdom and realize the Vajra Dharma body in full, but cannot fully enjoy it.The perfect teaching of the existence, practice, direction, land, and equal enlightenment are forty-one, which are still divided into two enlightenment.If you fully realize the Vajra Dharma body, you might as well say that the place is silent light.If it is not happening, it means that eating several treasures will inevitably lead to hunger and cold death.

The sect talks about the mind and nature, which makes people see the nature and become a Buddha.This means that one can fully realize one's true identity, belonging to "name is Buddha".
