Today is the first class of the New Year. I wish you all good luck and good luck in the new year with the blessing of the Buddha's vows, Namo Amitabha! In the 2012 worldly legendary Doomsday Theory, Amitabha has considered it for us in advance, and has built a Pure Land specifically to deal with this. For us, when the real difficulties arise, we don't have to worry about anything at all, because we are the one who chants the Buddha's vows.
Through the Buddha's heart, understand one's own heart.
I learned the "Three Hearts Chapter" in "Choose the Original Vow of Reciting Buddha's name" earlier. Reciting Buddha's name seems to be a verbal karma. The most important thing lies in the heart, which is the intention of chanting Buddha's name.The "three minds" come from the sincere heart, deep heart, and dedication and vowing heart in the "Amitabha Sutra", which is the body and mind of chanting the Buddha's name. Amitabha Buddha has a body and a mind, and the mind is the foundation. The essence of the name is mind, and the place where it falls must be on the Buddha's side.We usually focus on ourselves, just pay attention to what we think, and not consider what others think, "The one who knows themselves is wise, and the one who knows others is wise."When reciting the Buddha's name, you must understand the Buddha's heart. This is the key to reciting the Buddha's name. At the same time, reciting the Buddha's name is also to understand our heart through the Buddha's heart.
The mind can be concentrated, divided into mine and yours, or integrated. The mind has the same nature and has no complete boundaries. The reason why we can communicate with each other is because the mind can tolerate each other, my mind can tolerate everyone's heart, and everyone's heart can also tolerate my heart, so it is said, "The mind is vast, like the void.""Our mind chanting Buddha's name is divided into "sincere, deep heart, and dedication and vowing heart". The most difficult thing to recite is "sincere heart". What we lack is sincere heart. If we don't understand the sincere heart and the true heart, we don't understand ourselves, so everything is messed up.In fact, the mind is our master. The mind has body and function. Even if it can operate, but does not understand it, it is just a collision. So far, we are in a state of samsara. Chanting the Buddha's name is to compare our mind with the Buddha's mind, what do you think about your mind and the mind of Dharmazang Bodhisattva.Knowing people, knowing their faces but not their hearts. The mind is relatively subtle and cannot be seen in front of us. Although it is difficult to see, Master Shandao still tells us how to see it. Words are the voice of the heart, and speaking is commanded by the heart. Through words, what you think in your heart becomes a voice.
Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are disgusted with the Saha world. This place is very painful and should be liberated. Don’t settle down here for generations. They praise the Pure Land and ask us to leave this place quickly and be reborn in the Pure Land.Some stupid people make connections with others and make vows to do everything in this place for generations, but it is all painful here.Ordinary people are very greedy for this world. No matter how bad it is, a golden nest is not as good as a dog nest and is its own home.In fact, this is a wrong positioning. Home should be peaceful. Where is it peaceful here? We have suffered a lot of sins here, and we believe that we are a foreign land and as our hometown. The Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is the real home. We must return to our homeland.Bodhisattvas praise the Pure Land, and they don’t praise the place, so we don’t.Reciting the Buddha's name is a praise for the Pure Land, "Namo Amitabha" means that I want to go home, to the Pure Land home, a happy home, and a home without pain.I admire like-minded people and stay away from those who are greedy here.
In my true heart, I put my body and karma together to worship and offer the four things to Amitabha Buddha, and the two retributions of the right and right.
“The body and karma are combined to worship and respect to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. The "Four Things Offer" is the four offerings of food, clothing, bedding, and medicine in Buddhism. When you go to the Buddha, hold your hands together to kowtow, worship Buddha, burn incense and donate. The Buddha and monks are a group, and the offerings of the four offerings are offerings to Buddhas and monks.It is necessary to note here that the heart of offering should be the true heart, which is to truly offer and respect.We offer sacrifices to the Buddha to do business, and we get a hundred yuan, bless me and take out a little, hoping to get a lot.Doing business with Buddha is more stingy than with people in the world. Doing business with others, people still bargain with you. The Buddha sat there without bargaining. You can make a great wish after giving up a little something. How can this be a true offering in your true heart? Offering means that you don’t hold it and give it up.We are not like this. When we go to Amitabha Buddha to recite scriptures, praise, kowtow, respect, and offer, we have many thoughts and prayers, but they are not true. We think about whether we are like this? Ordinary people have these things when they are selfish. This standard is very difficult to achieve.Bodhisattvas can have real things. If they are not real Bodhisattvas, they are like acting. Of course, they can learn from falsehood and return to true things.
“Offer to Amitabha Buddha and the two retributions of dependent origination. Our body karma not only provides to Amitabha Buddha, but also to Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva and the great Arhats in the Pure Land of Bliss. This is called the true retribution; the dependent retribution is the seven-treasure glazed land, lotus pond, treasure trees, palaces, and pavilions in the Pure Land of Bliss, which can also be offered by physical karma.Cleaning the Buddhist temple and solemn the environment here is also a kind of dedication. I have done some things, but the difference is that I have no real heart.
In my true heart, my body is despised and disgusted with the three realms of life and death, and I rely on the two retributions of self and others.
Why do we need to offer sacrifices to Amitabha Buddha? When you worship and offer sacrifices to Amitabha Buddha, you really want to be reborn in the Pure Land and want to become Amitabha Buddha in the future. The real mind that thinks like this is called the true mind, not for other purposes.We all have other purposes, which is to have poor intentions, and they all have this problem naturally.The Buddha's infinite light is very transparent. You can't hide it. Others don't know it, but the world knows, ghosts and gods know it, and Buddhas and Bodhisattvas know it even more.There are laws of cause and effect in heaven and earth. You will get the result of whatever you think. If you want to make a fortune, be healthier, and be better in this world, you will certainly get the result of this wish, and it will be difficult to get the result of rebirth.The Buddha wants to give us the ultimate benefit of rebirth, not in this world.Of course, the situation here is quite complicated, and it is of course the best to be reborn. It is not that it is not enough to be reborn here. Who in the world has Sakyamuni Buddha, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, and Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva who live well? Sakyamuni Buddha is the most noble in the world. The true rebirth of the Buddha's wishes is actually the most noble and best in the world.So don’t follow your own ideas, but follow the Buddha’s minds and Bodhisattvas to truly recite the Buddha’s name.
Our physical karma is very greedy for here, and we all want to live in a good place, find a good job, and design a good environment. Where is it "relax and disgust these three realms"? It is still a kind of greed. Ordinary sentient beings have unequal hearts. Although they want to be reborn in the Pure Land, they are also very greedy for here. Obviously, these two are not the same."Providing to the two retributions of Amitabha Buddha". If you offer to Amitabha Buddha good, you will not care about what the world is like, so we can't do it and we will not have a true mind.It’s very simple. We are doing fakes here all day long. The power of falseness and untruth is very powerful. Even if we are studying Buddhism, we are still constantly enhancing this power, and it is not weakening at all. It doesn’t mean that we will be content and happy after learning Buddhism. Where there is a better one, we will choose immediately.So it is not possible to rely on yourself. A true Bodhisattva is not like this. You may not have to live in the most luxurious place, the most prosperous city, and find the best job.We are not actually the three realms of lightness and slowness in life and death. We still hope that people in this world will be better to themselves and do things in this world without despising it or disgusting it.
Let’s check our physical karma and do depravity all day long. How can we be reborn in the Pure Land with this physical karma? It’s too unrealistic.When reciting the Buddha's name, just recite how you are, what good things you have done today, and what practices you have done in your body and karma, you will be far away from the Buddha.I must go to burn incense on the first and fifteenth day of the lunar month. I think it is because I have practiced my physical karma, and then I immediately want to get praise and joy from others. I praise you as a person of great faith, because you have to go out at least, run to the temple, stand on the ground of the Three Jewels to kowtow to the Buddha, and even offer something. But here I tell you that even if you do it, the behavior is good, and the bad is the true heart.
In my true heart, I observe and remember Amitabha Buddha and the two retributions of dependent origination, as it is now.In my true heart, my mind is despised and disgusted with the three realms of life and death, and I rely on the two retributions of self and others.
This is another comparison. The mind is our thinking and distinction. The mind has the functions of thinking, observation and remembrance.What do we think, observe, and remember every day? Of course, it is how to make money every day, where to observe, and remember is the thought after careful reading.We don’t think about Amitabha Buddha’s second retribution. For ordinary people, my eyes are not that good at the ten trillion Buddha lands of the Pure Land in the Pure Land. I don’t know how to think and observe. There must be a convergence point. Therefore, no one who studies every day does not observe it, and I don’t know very clearly that the Pure Land of the Pure Land in the Pure Land is our home after all.Everyone is from Nanchang. When you ask about people and things in Nanchang, it is easy to tell others. You have observed them and can tell others based on memory, which shows that you are thinking about these things all day long.Therefore, we must at least think about the name "Namo Amitabha" and observe it again on the name. There are twenty-nine kinds of solemnity in the Pure Land, seventeen kinds of dependent retribution, eight kinds of Buddhas, and four kinds of Bodhisattvas. If people ask what is going on in the Pure Land, you will know it immediately, and you will only know it if you think about it frequently.
But what is worse is that when we chant the Buddha's name, we are also thinking about the things in this world, and we are right and wrong. Worshiping Buddha means doing business and greeting for worldly benefits from Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. When we chant Buddha's name, we keep doing business in our hearts, so the effect is very bad.Amitabha Buddha treats us sincerely. We are blocked by layers of obstacles, which means karma, which is hindered by false and untrue mind. The obstacle comes from the unreal mind. Unreal mind is false, and unreal is false. What we have been bad since the beginning of time is that we have never had a true mind and the mind does not meet the standards.After comparison, you must at least know the truth and falsehood. Only by chanting the Buddha's name can you accept the true heart that the Buddha dedicates to you and accept the name.If you insist that your heart is real, you will automatically resist the Buddha's true heart.If your heart is also true, it is united with the Buddha. If you don’t, you must completely let go and take refuge. It is “Namo Amitabha”! You must recognize your own falsehood and sins. If you cannot recognize it, you will always resist and recognize the false and do the truth. This is our problem. You must recite it with your heart.
Why do people have distance? It is because the heart is not true, and it is difficult for us to give our sincerity because we do not have the sincerity.Therefore, there are many troubles between people, because everyone is not real, the qualities of ordinary people are not considered and the mind is not observed, so why do you say that family members and people around you are not good, that is definitely not good.If you look for the problems of Sakyamuni Buddha, Amitabha Buddha, Amitabha Bodhisattva, and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, it will be difficult to find them. This is chanting Buddha.Of course, what is bad for some people is that Guanyin Bodhisattva can also find faults. If the mind is not true, it will be unreal to see others, and the standards are not right.If you cannot recite the Buddha's name effectively and do not feel the power of the Buddha, it means that there is a problem with the standards of your mind. You must examine yourself and not point the signs at the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Oh, the Buddha is not effective, has no power, and is not merciful. You cannot do this, and the responsibility is not on the Buddha.The Buddha wants to help you take responsibility, but you also have to put your heart on your name. If you want "Namo Amitabha" to meet, your false heart will not touch the Buddha's true heart. If you always stick to your own, the Buddha's will never use it. If you reject the Buddha's true heart, you will be far away.If the Buddha comes to take responsibility, you have to put "Namo Amitabha" into your false heart, and the Buddha will bear it. If the false one does not come out of the air, it will not work.The Amitabha Sutra says that "it is not enough good roots, blessings, and causes and conditions", and the conditions are enough, and it is necessary to use it. When reciting the Buddha's name, you must recite with your heart, think, observe, and remember. This is why you need to learn the sutras and teachings. How can you know the dependent retribution and true retribution of Amitabha Buddha without learning.
“As it is now, the thoughts, observations, and remembrances in the mind are like before the eyes.It is what is sensed when thinking, remembering, and observing a certain amount of power. It is very difficult for us to achieve this standard.When someone chants the Buddha's Samadhi appears, his eyes can see it, just like when the false mind temporarily accepts the Buddha's Pure Land, he appears a little and looks at it.What’s bad about us is that we don’t leave any trace in our hearts for Buddha, which is completely fake. Although we recite it in our mouths, it doesn’t touch our hearts. At least we must know this situation.Even if you do this, when you are chanting the Buddha's name, the Buddha is using his power to help you, and he has not left.As long as a false mind is chanting Buddha's name, although it is still blocked in the mind, putting it with the name is effective. In this sense, chanting is better than not chanting. Even if it is false, you give it a protection, even if you are having delusions, but the power of Buddha is playing a role.Of course, attachment, delusion, and karma are hindered by you, and the Buddha's light has no obstacles. Putting it together will automatically have the function of clearing obstacles.So no matter what, you don’t have to think about it, just recite it. Put it together, and the Buddha’s light will automatically and slowly clear the obstacles. If you don’t recite the Buddha’s name, you will not be able to remove the obstacles. You can’t see it, and you don’t know how to clear it. You will automatically clear the Buddha’s name. First, you see it, and then open it and clear it.The only way is to recite the Buddha's name. The fake one is also to recite it. You can ignore these things and just recite the Buddha's name with one mind. This is very important.If you have a problem, you think about it in your heart, oh, why am I like this? You will go far and forget to chant the Buddha's name again, because after you have delusions, the Buddha will not know where you are. You need to chant continuously, Namo Amitabha, Namo Amitabha,... When you have delusions, continue to chant.
“It's not hatred
“In the true heart, the mind is despised and disgusted with the three realms of life and death.” When we chant the Buddha’s name, at least our heart is thinking about Amitabha Buddha, and the name will automatically shake your unreal heart like a drum."Defying and loathing" means despising and looking at the place of despised. Our hearts will not be tired of giving up the world during the day and at night. When the pain is extreme, we really want to die. In fact, it is the hatred of the world in our hearts. Hate and love are the same roots. In fact, we care too much about it. There is nothing in this world.I think you can escape pain when you die, but in fact love and hate are the same power of the same unreal heart. "Deffort and hate" is not hatred, nor is it despise or hate to give up. I think that the world is full of bad people, which means that the mind and karma in your heart truly see its evil appearance, but not all of it, which is a bit difficult.Some people who study Buddhism will fall on the idea of staying away from the world and will not do anything.The appearance seen in this world is the unreal manifestation in your heart. The effect of the true mind when chanting Buddha's name is not to have no such world, it is not to be eliminated, it is not to either commit suicide or avoid it. This is a bit difficult.It is easy for us to fall into the process of giving up and hatred when we say that we are together. It is not pure, and I am pure, so we can only make ourselves pure.When we see that the manifestation of this world is the impure image that appears in your unreal mind. If the manifestation of the mind is real, it is not this appearance. What "despise the humble and hate to give up" is the thought that appears in your mind.I think this person is bad. It either treats this person as bad, or does not put the bad on people and things. It is your thoughts that are indifferent to your mind. This is a bit difficult to understand.
Greedy in this world causes troubles, not external reasons, but in your heart. If you can't do it at first, staying away is also a temporary way.Because our power to be despised and hate is very weak, including eating vegetarian food and keeping precepts. At the lower level, we are to give up evil and be good, because this world is evil, and both people and mountains, rivers and earth are unequal and impure, so the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is good. We must value good and look down on evil and be good. This is what we mean.If you like Amitabha Buddha and the Pure Land in your heart, you should have the idea of being disgusted with the Saha world. If you think that the sentient beings here hate and are not pure, it is also wrong. If you are greedy for this idea, you must abandon it. In fact, we cannot do it. Now the prompt is to try to avoid it.
The wish to be reborn cannot be used as an hatred. Many people mix hatred and aversion. Once they study Buddhism, they feel that people all over the world are bad people. They should give up this idea rather than give up this person.Good people and bad people are judged by your heart. If you say they are bad people, others will say they are good people. This is the idea that they should give up and despise. Don’t make this idea real. It’s Namo Amitabha, no matter what good people and bad people he is.When the mind relies on chanting Buddha's name, it will automatically have this nature. Reciting Buddha's name means not chanting what you think in your mind. A very important obstacle is to be attached to our own judgment. This is a good person, that is a bad person, this fate is good, that fate is bad, and that fate is bad. Don't live in your own judgment.You have to chant the Buddha's name, Namo Amitabha, of course, we are always in discrimination and delusions. The function of the mind is to build these names every day and cannot leave it. So now you can chant the Buddha's name and leave it. When you feel that it is not good, it is not good. Just chant the Buddha's name immediately. It's better to chant the Buddha's name. "Namo Amitabha" is not complicated, and the Pure Land method is so simplified.Namo Amitabha!
