There was a practitioner in the past, whose name was Faithful. When he was born, there was no Buddhist teachings in the world, but he still sought to seek the Dharma, hoping to find a way to liberation.
Because his spirit moved the Emperor of Heaven, one day, a voice suddenly said to him in the air: "Believe! Listen carefully, from then on, there is a king called Shanju six hundred thousand miles east. The Buddha was born in his country, and Buddhism was once spread all over the world. Unfortunately, after the Buddha's Nirvana, the Dharma gradually declined. Now there is not even a Buddhist temple. There is a poor woman living there, who looks very ugly, but she can say half of the Buddha's verse, and now she wants to teach it to others. You go and get the half verse!" After saying that, the air became silent.
After hearing this, the faithful immediately stood up, went through a lot of hardships, and finally came to the king of Shanzhu and found the ugly woman.
The woman lived in a thatched hut and asked as soon as she saw the believer, "Who are you from afar! What are you asking for me?" "I came here to worship you as my teacher.""The faithful stared at her and knelt respectfully in front of her.
The woman asked, "What are you going to learn from me?" The believer said, "I am here to learn Buddhism from Master."I have nothing to teach you, I only know half a verse."The ugly girl replied.
When the believer heard this, he said happily: "I came to join the master from a place six hundred thousand miles away. I went through hardships along the way, just to learn these half of the verse from you to revitalize the great Dharma of Buddhism!"
「OK then! Sit down and listen slowly."The faithful sat down quickly and waited for the woman to say the Buddhist verse. The woman said, "Don't do anything evil, and do all the good deeds.""After hearing this, a feeling of coolness and joy spread throughout the body, and the heart was naturally connected and engraved in the heart.
The woman asked, "Did you remember?" The faithful replied, "Not only remember, but also understand and master it."Very good, you have already obtained the supernatural powers, go back!" After the woman said that, she stopped talking, so the believer said goodbye to the teacher and returned to her country.
After becoming a Bodhisattva, I said, "I used to be in the pain of life and death when I didn't know this verse. Now I understand that whether I preach to the public or promote all kinds of good things, I can strengthen my belief in Buddhism."
Everyone, is Buddhism difficult to understand? It is not difficult to understand! Is Buddhism difficult to practice? It is not difficult to practice! As long as you are willing to listen to any of the Buddha's words, you can achieve the fruit of enlightenment.
