Today we will continue to talk about the "Blessings of the Great Vairocana Buddha's Divine Transformation".Someone on the website talks about the "Maharika Sutra" and that "meaning" is wrong. Don't add the word "meaning". Without the word "meaning", it is the "Maharika Sutra".It is better to ask the friend in front of the screen to sit upright and listen attentively, and not do anything else, so as to emphasize the law.

Before giving a lecture today, I will announce something to you, that is, my translation of the Lotus Sutra has now been typed and can be published.I will recite the Supplementary Seal once: The Great Master of Respect for the Enlightenment: The monk started to translate this classic of the great masterpiece from December 1, 2006. (Lotus Sutra )Since then, although many other new works, revisions, revisions, and reprints have been inserted, the translation has not been interrupted until last year. Can it be replaced by other ways of speaking? There is no other way of speaking, and it is probably someone who does not understand English.

As we all know, this Lotus Sutra reveals the ultimate principle of the "One Buddha Vehicle" in Mahayana Buddhism.The so-called "Lotus Sutra One Vehicle" is actually the spine of all Mahayana Buddhism, and even all Buddhist teachings, that is, the spine.The reason why Buddhism can stand up is because of this "Lotus Sutra One Vehicle".Why? Because the Buddha preaches all dharmas and returns to the same Buddha vehicle.If it is not for the sake of the Buddha's Vehicle, then the Buddha will not need to preach.The Buddha said that all dharmas are one Buddha vehicle, so the Lotus Sutra is the most important.Let the entire Buddhism become a "vertebrate". Without the Lotus Sutra, learning Buddhism will become an "invertebrate" and a mollusc, and you cannot stand up.When learning the "Lotus Sutra One Vehicle", you can not only stand up, but also stand up to the sky. In the end, I am the only one in the world.If a person studies Buddhism and wants to reach the supreme Bodhi, then the acceptance, faith, practice and even enlightenment of the "One Buddha Vehicle" secretly included in this sutra are indispensable.Therefore, if you want to study Buddhism, accept one Buddha vehicle, believe in and understand one Buddha vehicle, practice one Buddha vehicle, and realize one Buddha vehicle, your practice is all aimed at this goal.

Especially those who have advanced, if they can open, show, enlighten, and enter the "One Buddha Vehicle" of all Buddhas, and can understand, the Buddha said that this person will definitely achieve Bodhi and will be given a prophecy. The Buddha will give the prophecy to the three vehicles of people, and even people in the world, in the Lotus Sutra.Following the seven classics I have translated before, including the Diamond Sutra, the Heart Sutra, the Perfect Enlightenment Sutra, the Platform Sutra of the Sixth Patriarch, the Forty-two Chapter Sutra, and the Ksitigarbha Sutra, all of which have been translated into English and published.Now I have translated the Lotus Sutra, so I have reached a great climax of Mahayana Buddhist scriptures in my translation career.I am still translating the Avatamsaka Sutra, and the 80 Avatamsaka Sutra has been translated into fifty-six volumes.Some people say I am very diligent, maybe I am not very diligent, I am very hardworking, this is how it is.I translate this sutra in elegant English style, or literary or classical style, so that it can conform to the ancient Chinese brushstrokes, because we don’t have faith, understanding, and elegance in our translation? That faith means being loyal to the original text. The original text is very elegant, so we must translate it in ancient English.Although this is my contribution to studying English for more than 50 years, I have achieved it.

Could it be that one year in the middle was Li Bo Dameng (American novel title )Is it? It's really strange.When I wrote this article, I already knew that I was indeed 65 years old, so I corrected it.I studied English at the age of 13, 13, and learned English in the first year of junior high school. I am 65 years old this year. How many years have you been like this? 52 years, it’s so scary. I have been learning English for more than half a century.Up to this year, I have read at least two or three English books every year. I have read no books to read. It is not that there are no books, but that the books are very uninteresting. You have to read patiently. What do books in the world talk about? Kill, steal, adultery, and lying, monks don’t like this.I used to like it very much, it was nervous and exciting and interesting. Now I don’t like it, so there are almost no books to read.If you really want to read, for example, sherlock Holmes, that kind of work is a very good work. Although he talks about some murders, there is no murder scene and no bloodshed murders. They are all after-inference and want to find a murderer.There are very few books like this. I have read the complete works of Sherlock Holmes a long time ago, and I have read them several times, in English.I learned a lot of English from it, although I worked hard to read English books.No, I don’t work very hard when I read English books. I just rested after dinner. I just studied there for half an hour.I'm tired and resting like this.My apprentice said that I read English as my chocolate every day.So I ate "English chocolate" after dinner.Although I work hard, I feel that it is really like this. It is mostly because I am protected by Buddhas and Bodhisattvas that I can deeply understand the mysteries of English, and even understand classical issues and vernacular language, and be able to mix texts and write smoothly and elegantly. I am not polite to say this.That's true.I write English almost the same as Chinese.Writing smoothly and elegantly, without any slightest disrespect (ao)tooth.

This is what Han Yu wrote when he was writing an article, which means that the text he wrote was not correct. (smooth )。I deeply hope that through the English translation of this immortal holy scripture, I can shine on all the darkness of the world, and make all sentient beings in the world. Those who have the touch of it will develop the supreme mind of the Tao, enter the "One Buddha Vehicle", and quickly cultivate the supreme Bodhi.I hope that all the great monks and lay people will be enthusiastically encouraged to print, so that they can be quickly spread throughout the world. Before I preach the scriptures, I would like to remind you one more thing. This is a very strange thing: many Buddhists think that those who practice Zen or tantra, those who practice Zen or tantra think that they practice high Dharma, so by relying on the power of magic, they seem to be able to transcend certain things of Buddhism. In other words, they don’t have to be like ordinary people, because they are higher, so they are less concerned about precepts.Because I practice Zen, I am very free and comfortable.Therefore, the precepts, small flaws do not hide the great virtues; small flaws do not hide the great virtues, which is wrong.For example, if you go to an antique auction store, you will know.There is no value in a small hole.We used to have a vase in our house. The vase was great. There was a dragon with a relief outside, which was very beautiful. It was pottery, not porcelain.If you arrange flowers or put them in, it will not smell bad for a long time. That is very amazing.The bamboo leaves that are inserted will not smell bad.However, there is a gap in the vase, so it is of no value.Therefore, people who practice Zen think that they are free and do not need to follow the general rules, so that they can be free and easy. If they are not free and straightforward, then why can they be like this? Because when practicing Zen, they often misunderstand that they have already been enlightened.However, people who practice Zen often misunderstand that they have been enlightened, but sometimes they feel that there is no one, but they often go back and say that there is such a thing.

As for those who practice tantra, especially those who practice evil tantra, they think that if I chant mantras, the power of this mantra is so powerful that I don’t need to keep precepts, and it’s okay to keep precepts in purity.Why? Because I purified it as soon as I chanted the mantra.Even when I was eating meat, someone asked the master, and they went to Yangmingshan barbecue with the master, and the believers asked, "Master, why do you eat meat?" The master said, "You don't understand, I am compassionate. When I was eating meat, I chanted mantras, and I saved it, so I ate meat to save sentient beings."Then the believers have nothing to say.Right? Are you right? Yes, he is in the stomach and puts sentient beings into his stomach, so that is eighteen fallacies.Then the same goes for drinking.Master, why do you drink? Don’t have such a discriminatory mind. This wine is nectar and achieves Bodhi.Because your mind is different, it is not good for you to drink alcohol, which will hinder you. However, my mind is not different, my mind is pure and has no distinction. Therefore, if wine and nectar are true, it is the same. So I drink alcohol and drink Buddha's nectar to help me achieve Bodhi.If you reach my situation, you can drink without hindering it. It is absolutely okay, because it can only help you.Because the Buddha said that all dharmas are Buddhist dharmas.Right? So, wine and nectar are no different, that's it.If you reach the state of enlightenment, drinking is absolutely fine and helpful. What is the reason for helping you practice? It is more conducive to your undiscriminatory wisdom.Just like this.So what is this? Eighteen fallacies.It just seems that he can't argue.Of course, he didn't meet me.

Just now, I said that eating meat is killing, drinking alcohol, and lust is the same.Why can lust be attained by the Buddha's path? Because lust, the Sutra of Perfect Enlightenment says that all sentient beings use lust to correct their lives, so lust is the barrier of life and death for sentient beings. However, if you obtain meditation and wisdom of emptiness, you can transcend the defilement of lustful joy and achieve the emptiness joy of Vajra. After you empty this emptiness joy, you will become a Buddha.Therefore, you should all work hard in this aspect, so that you can practice at the edge of the knife and become a Buddha.All living beings have no wisdom or concentration, so they dare not face it. They just escape. If you escape, you will always fall into reincarnation.You must have the brave wisdom of the King Kong to overcome it; face it, overcome it, surpass it, capture it, and then empty it.So when you are lustful, you can't say that I practice very high, so I don't have happiness. If you don't have happiness, you won't be able to do this. This is not bad.You must also have happiness. If you have happiness and you want to empty this happiness, you will become a Buddha.Therefore, the Tantra says that "becoming a Buddha in this body" means.When you are sexually engaging in sexual intercourse, the final practice leads to the climax. When you are sexually engaging in sexually, you must eliminate life and death and exit the samsara. That is, you must produce happiness when you are sexually engaging in sexually. If you do not produce happiness, it is like plants, trees, tiles and stones, but you are sentient beings, you must have happiness.Happiness is used to empty it with the emptiness of Buddhism.Therefore, it is to face great troubles and great sufferings, and happiness and suffering are the same thing.So you have to turn it around now, and all the suffering and happiness are gone.The pleasure of lust is joy. Although there is joy, it does not seem to be joyful, nor does it feel to be suffering.Then, in this way, both suffering and happiness are the state of the four meditations.What is the fourth meditation? If you give up your thoughts and have a pure mind, you will be pure; if you have a pure mind, you will immediately see the Buddha's mind and the Buddha nature, you will be enlightened and liberated.Do you understand this way?

Such profound truths must be achieved with Vajra wisdom and concentration, otherwise everyone can become a Buddha.This is necessary to become a Buddha, so not everyone can become a Buddha immediately, so this is lust.Look, there are eighteen fallacies.You see if I can speak, I can speak, right? Even lies.Lie, there is no falsehood, and there is no falsehood. Because words are windy, don’t think of any lies. Sometimes, in order to attract sentient beings and facilitate sentient beings, a lie is called compassion.Therefore, practitioners must have such a vision to practice the wisdom of Prajna to achieve great Bodhi. Do you know? Therefore, killing, stealing, adultery, lying, and wine are the same. Because the mind arises, all dharmas are born, and the mind is destroyed, all dharmas are destroyed. You have the distinction between good and evil in your heart, so you cannot transcend this frame and cannot come out of the nine realms. If you want to go out of the nine realms, you must transcend delusions and discrimination and be attached to your own mind.To study Buddhism, you must give up your attachments. You are so stubborn and all kinds of attachments. This is not the truth of Buddha.The principle of Buddha is to abandon all attachments at the beginning. The more you learn, the more you are, the more you are, so you cannot be enlightened. Why can't you be enlightened? It is because you are too attached. From now on, you will give up all attachments and delusions can be removed.By giving up all attachments, delusions and discriminations, you can realize the "Tathagata's nature virtue" mentioned in the Avatamsaka Sutra.

I once said that as long as the Dharma has precepts, it is the Buddha's true Dharma. Without precepts, it is not the Dharma.We should not talk too much about the precepts, but the five fundamental precepts cannot be violated. Killing, stealing, adultery, lying and drinking cannot be violated. Once you violate it, you will break the precepts. Monks will become monks who break the precepts. There is no time for monks to go to hell. How to enlighten and attain Bodhi is impossible, seeking fish from a tree.Even monks who break the precepts do not know how ashamed, repent, or even cover up all kinds of things, so they want to cover up the truth.All kinds of concealment have made many such rational excuses.Rationalization means to say unreasonable as rationalization, which is called rationalization.It's like Taiwan didn't have that woman who had a business class A a while ago (According to pronunciation ),Striving to rationalize and legalize, that is the same, prostitution is necessary (According to pronunciation )Legalization is the same as Buddhism. If you violate the Buddhist precepts and want to rationalize it, it sounds good. What is the text? It is about making articles, painting, painting with white paint, and smearing, not smearing, smearing your own mistakes, and smearing.Therefore, the so-called practitioners who follow the precepts, in general, are just four levels of prohibitions or five fundamental precepts. One is the Bodhisattva precept, which is the four levels of prohibition. Because it is important, so what is the four levels of prohibition? It is killing, stealing, adultery, and lying.This is a serious prohibition by the Buddha, so it is called the four levels of forbidden, so it must not be violated. If you violate it, break the precepts. What is breaking the precepts? Breaking the precepts is called beheading. Beheading means that the Dharma body is beheaded, and if the Dharma body is beheaded, he will have no wisdom life. Therefore, in the Brahma Net Sutra, he says that you will forever abandon the Buddha's seaside.Therefore, I seriously warn you that if there is any practitioner, no matter how profound the Dharma he practices, if he violates the four levels of prohibition, he will die, and this person will forever abandon the Buddha's sea.So don’t be confused, don’t be deceived, then if you are voluntarily cheated, there is nothing you can do.

Then I now warn you very carefully to let you know that you can distinguish: no matter what method he learns, what method he practices, or what method he teaches, no matter how high he is, he cannot violate these four levels of forbidden.What is it called in the precepts? What is it called in the Shurangama Sutra? The four pure and clear teachings.So these four must not be committed.If you are at home or become a monk, it is the same.Then becoming a monk is even more impossible.Then I even say the other way around, it is not that the higher the Dharma you learn, you can surpass it and you can exempt the precepts. On the contrary, the higher the Dharma, the higher the requirements, right? So you see that the Zen ancestors are not very free and simple, and they are very meticulous. They always care about their thoughts and actions, and they are aware of their body, speech, and mind.The so-called silent and silent movements are clear and clear, clear and quiet, clear and quiet, without attachment or contamination, and even without attachment to worldly laws, let alone pollution laws, is it? It is contrary to the Tao.Therefore, an enlightened person will not break the precepts. Then, I said last time, is there any? After you have achieved concentration, you will naturally produce precepts. That is to practice concentration based on the Dharma of the Tathagata. Of course, you will not rely on the concentration of heretics, and there is no way.If you practice heretics, you will have the kind of evil power that will lead to contamination.Use this evil concentration to deepen your defilement method, and even go to your seven consciousnesses and eight consciousnesses to deepen your defilement method.Usually, if you don’t practice concentration, your mind is evil, but it is only at the level of the six consciousnesses. However, if you practice concentration with an evil mind, the polluted evil mind will use concentration to penetrate into the seven consciousnesses and eight consciousnesses, so it is called deepening the polluted mind.That's even worse, you should understand this principle like this.So why do you have a wrong mind? The more you practice, the more evil you become.The evil way makes it seem very reasonable to break the precepts, and it is even higher. If you don’t do this, he will say that you are obsessed.

There is a person who practices tantra, and they even call him a master.The believer went to his house and he invited the believer to dinner. The believer had been eating vegetarian food for more than 20 years, but the master gave him a chicken leg. He said, "Master, I don't eat meat." He said, "You shouldn't be so obsessed, so he forced him to eat."So you see, his defiled heart and evil heart were only superficial, but he should be said so by the power of evil concentration.Because when the Buddha was preaching the right concentration, it was called right concentration based on the Buddha's teachings.If you practice according to the methods of heretics, it is called evil concentration, and evil concentration also has power.Based on evil concentration, the power of the defiled mind and evil mind is suppressed into the seven consciousnesses and eight consciousnesses, so it deepens.Then the current situation will be faster to turn the smoke into a seed. Do you understand? It will turn the smoke into a seed, so there are more evil seeds and stronger.Needless to say, enlightenment, how are people who have attained concentration more? They follow the rules more naturally.Even it is natural for him to follow the rules. What Confucius said is, "Do whatever he wants without breaking the rules."What are the benefits of having concentration? It is to let you follow the rules and naturally. If you do this naturally, you will feel sad if you don’t do this. Therefore, you will deeply dislike the contaminated things such as breaking precepts and breaking precepts, and you will not go to it at all. You will avoid and stay away from that cause and condition, let alone take the initiative to pursue and achieve that cause and condition, and will not.So it is against the truth.After enlightenment, I am not very casual, and then I just mess around.

By the way, some people learn Buddhism with evil intentions. When I first made up my mind, there was a fellow practitioner who talked with great pleasure. Once, Monk Xuyun took a boat to Shanghai. When the boat arrived at Huangpu River, it was docked. As soon as it was docked, he came up. After it came up, it might be urgent to urinate. Many people went to pick him up, but he ignored it and urinated towards Jiang.The person who said that was talking was full of mouth, oh, Monk Xuyun was so cool, just urinating in public.I don't believe this.People with evil intentions like this state.This state is probably a slander of the monk. Do you know? Who is Monk Xuyun? He is a practitioner and a Taoist man. He will not do such ugly things. This is why everyone likes to spread rumors, and this is the defiled heart.The corresponding defilement method is joyful, especially the defilement done by great masters, and he is even more enjoyable to talk about it. Therefore, Buddhists must have the wisdom to judge and do not believe in whatever they say.What I want to say is that Monk Xuyun is a Zen practitioner and has already obtained the secret of Zen. He cannot do such a thing, and he cannot do such a defiled thing.By the way, no one is free to do that kind of thing, let alone a practitioner.That's not chic, what's that? Being careless.It is a negligence.Right?

OK, the higher the Dharma you practice, the higher the conditions required, the higher the standards, the less standards, the less conditions it does not exist.Therefore, the Sixth Patriarch of Zen Buddhism criticized Yongjia Xuanjue. It was not that Yongjia Xuanjue was very old after going there. He walked around it three times and then stood up. Then the Sixth Patriarch said that the monks had three thousand majestic etiquette and eighty thousand meticulous practices.Where did you come from? You are arrogant and arrogant.So just like this, it's very arrogant, not to be able to do anything else.Therefore, if a practitioner is a practitioner, he will care about everything with all his words, actions, every move, every frown and smile.Don’t be careless in your body, don’t be careless in your words, and don’t be careless in your mind.
