Let’s continue to talk about the Great Sun Sutra. Before I could talk about it, I would like to say something before. At the beginning, I asked my friends in front of the screen to sit upright, not do anything else, and listen attentively. What do you want to practice when sitting upright? This is what I have experienced. I will share with you - you must cultivate the virtue of not moving.You sit there as the Lotus Sutra says that the body and mind are not moving. You sit there and don’t move around. You move here and there, and change your left foot to the right foot. You just move around in fifty minutes. Are you not a Buddha? What kind of meditation do you still practice? It’s all a lie; what principles of meditation do you learn are all a lie, and even if you become a monk for fifty minutes, you will move around, and you will be completely useless and useless.Therefore, you must sit and not move. If you want to cultivate your mind and not move, you will not move first. You cannot stand the pain or numbness and move around and have no future.From now on, when you listen to the sutras, your body and mind are not moved while listening to the sutras. Only by practicing the virtue of movement can you achieve unmoving wisdom and even unmoving wisdom.Unmoving wisdom is a Bodhisattva, and Unmoving wisdom is a Buddha. Therefore, this practice is not finished in just one sentence or two sentences. It is not something that needs to be spoken with your mouth, it is something that needs to be done, and every thought of your body and mind. If you do something bad, you will be revealed as soon as you see it.
You just leak your air, and you say leaking stuff in Mandarin. When you see what you do, you will know at a glance.So there is no way to talk about the Dharma and the practice of Buddhism.What I am saying is not that I am telling you, I am also trying to do this myself. If I can’t do it myself, I dare not tell you. Do you understand? So you are listening to the sutras, reading the sutras, and living in daily life. You must first cultivate yourself and not move to achieve the unmoving mind. If the mind is not moved, there will be no worries and no worries to enter into samadhi. The mind is consistent with the wisdom of the Buddha, and is consistent with all the pure wisdom and merits of the Buddha, otherwise it will not correspond; otherwise, it will be useless to scratch the itch at all. Okay, let go and see.

The great Vairocana becoming a Buddha is about the great Vairocana becoming a Buddha and blessing all sentient beings after becoming a Buddha. Then, the sutra is spoken.Why? Without the blessing of divine transformation, the minds of sentient beings cannot be illuminated, and the realm does not have that realm, and there is no way to correspond. Therefore, the blessing of Buddha is one thing. You also want the part you want to do. You should basically do what you should do, so don’t know anything, do nothing, and have no intention of anything. Just let go and be careless of your body and mind, and you want to get the blessing of Buddha and be able to enter the wisdom of Buddha. There is nothing in this.For example, why can a student learn the teacher's knowledge or art? Because he listens hard and concentrates on studying, what he needs to do is that you don't work hard on your own. Just hope that the teacher will teach me what is the use? So teaching is two aspects, and both must be in line with each other. You can't just pray that the teacher and students don't work hard, you must work hard on the spot, and work hard when you go home, and keep practicing.
The sutra says that intoxicating and practicing, and then intoxicating, the continuous intoxication will change continuously, so it is called intoxication, which is the essence of the Lankavatara Sutra.What is smoked and turbulent? It means constant incredible smoke and turbulent rotation, because the effect of this smoke is incredible. You cannot study or analyze it, and scientific instruments cannot catch it. Once you smoke it like this, it will have that smell.But if you use it to analyze the molecules and ions in it, you can’t analyze them, so you will continue to infuse and practice.Let this body change continuously, what will it become? It becomes consistent with the one who can smoke it, you are intoxicated; what can it be intoxicated? The law that can smoke it, the wisdom that can smoke it.If you are so intoxicated, what is this intoxication? Although you listen to the sutras and Dharma, it seems that Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are intoxicating you, in fact, you are mainly intoxicating yourself, because it is nothing wrong with him, but if you don’t put it under him, you will run away, have delusions, or be called sitting and riding, and the mind will run away when the person sits there and runs away from the spirit; the person sits there and goes out to run a horse and ride.Whether it is spiritual or sitting, it is so-called imaginary and absent-minded. That's it. If the mind is not here, the mind will run to New Zealand and it will be a mess.
Therefore, if you sit here and listen to the lecture, you are practicing the virtue of not moving. You are sitting upright, your body does not move, and your mind does not move. Don’t sit there and run a horse.The Great Vairocana became a Buddha and had a divine transformation. What are the changes in various supernatural powers? Talking about the outdoor scene where you are performing prepare, Prepare, what to prepare? Take all sentient beings into that state and prepare to listen to the sutras.So why is the blessing of the divine transformation? The Buddha cannot beat the drums and drums when he wants to preach. I cannot preach this way. He can change his supernatural powers to attract everyone's attention. On the one hand, he also makes him believe and respect, so he starts to talk.For example, the Buddha emits a light to make everyone's mind purify and start talking. It is not fun, but the one is called field control. Therefore, the blessing of the divine transformation is to preach the field control of the sutra; the sutras spoken by the blessing of the divine transformation.

This is the mistake of Taisho Kang, that is, this is the record of Acharya, his notes, but who is he talking about? Who is Shan Wuwei? Vajra and Bukong are all from the West. Yixing and Huiguo are us Chinese and Japanese.Therefore, there are two Chinese among these eight great ancestors, which is called the Eight Patriarchs of Chuanxi.The eight great ancestors all have their own characters for seeds. What is a monk? Sanskrit sramana, It's very different from Chinese.The meaning of monks is to die for the destruction, practice precepts, concentration, wisdom, and eliminate greed, anger, and ignorance. It is called monks.If you write about a monk, it means that he is a monk. You should not call yourself a monk by yourself, nor should you call him a monk by yourself.Recently, someone from mainland China faxed me to say what kind of merit he would do, saying that he had converted to his name and added a Dharma name to his name.For example, when his master gave him a Dharma name, he added a Dharma name, and we asked him why he added a Dharma name. He said I have converted.The lay people who convert to the country cannot interpret it, but the monks can interpret it. A monk adds an explanation on the Dharma name; the lay people just say that you are Ruru and the Dharma name is good.
Acharya achnrya, What is Acharya? Acharya is translated into Chinese as a teacher. The master who teaches me his subjects or Buddhism is called a teacher.So if Acharya is in Chinese, it is equivalent to what we call a master. In Sanskrit, no matter how he kisses a teacher, he is still a teacher, but we Chinese people especially like to get married. If you add a father to the teacher, you will be very close. My teacher is my father.Master, my teacher is like my father. The teacher’s teacher is called Master, who is a relative; Guanyin Bodhisattva is my grandmother, so Guanyin’s mother; Buddha adds a ancestor, Buddha is my grandfather, Buddha.There is also a local saying in Taiwan that all the gods and statues are called Buddha, so all the gods and Buddhas are my grandfather, so Buddha.Even the Chinese recognize Guanyin as their adopted mother and become Guanyin's adopted son, these are all tricks that the Chinese themselves have played.Acharya is a personal teacher, teacher or master. It was originally a common name. The result of its evolution was that the general master who taught all Buddhist teachings was called Acharya, but the result of its evolution became that only the teacher in special circumstances was called Acharya.
There are two main types: one is the precept master in the precept field, usually the third master, called Acharya; the third master and seven proofs are also your master, and the seven proofs are also your master.The third master is the acharya who receives precepts and the rituals of the Acharya and the professor. This is the third master called the Acharya.The seven proofs are called the Acharya. The three masters and seven proofs are written in the Dharma according to the precepts. If you want to pass on the precepts, you must have three masters and seven proofs to pass on the three altars of great precepts and Bodhisattva precepts.
Everything is very chaotic in the Dharma-Ending Age, and the precepts are also very chaotic. If you participate in the precepts venue without the three masters and seven proofs, the precepts you climbed will not be in accordance with the Dharma. If you have the three precepts.To receive the Bodhisattva precepts, you must also have three masters and seven proofs. Usually, the Bodhisattva precepts are done after the three altars of great precepts. In this way, there is no need to ask the three masters and seven proofs, because it is not easy for ten masters to invite them.Sometimes, for example, if you want to hire seven masters in foreign countries or in Western Europe, it is not easy for them to hire seven masters, so they can facilitate the three masters to carry the Bodhisattva precepts. However, the Bodhisattva precepts may be more convenient, but at least the three masters need to have them. If you want one master, your Bodhisattva precepts will never be allowed and will not be in accordance with the Dharma.If you receive monks and nuns, you must have three masters and seven masters, and you will not be able to obtain precepts.So let me tell you that if you want to learn Buddhism, you must understand these things, otherwise you will think you have taken the precepts, but you will not have the precepts as a result.
Moreover, when you enter the altar, you must have three people at a jar, three people at a jar, and three people go up to take the precepts together, not to say that you will be like this together.If there are too many people and thousands of people suffer together, it seems that they will suffer together. There is no such thing. No matter how many people you have, you will have to go to the altar. It must be like retail and cannot be wholesale.
OK, this is a kind of precept master in the precept field called Acharya. It is a formal name. Some precept plates contain precept Acharya, and some are changed to precept monks, monks, monks, monks, monks, monks, monks, monks, monks, monks, monks, monks, etc. That's fine, but I tell you that the word monks are incorrect translations.I have already said that because the monk's Sanskrit and monks are completely unreliable, the masters of the Tang Dynasty have all said that that is a wrong translation, but he is used to monks and there is no way.Later, the monk was originally a honorary title, and Shang meant the above, just like we have a Shangshu in Chinese? Shang means that the book passed down from ancient times is Shangshu, and Shang means the same as Shang.Books that talk about ancient history and books from the Three Emperors and Five Emperors are the Book of Shangshu; there are two types of acharya: 1. Acharya from the precepts, but this is temporary. When the precepts are released, it will no longer be called Acharya. This is the precepts.
At the same time, the qualified master of the esoteric Buddhism was called Acharya. This master is a title, a permanent position, and always like this. As long as he has received training, study, passed the exam, and received the Dharma empowerment, he is called Acharya. This becomes his official title. Unlike the Acharya in the precepts field, he is called Acharya for the time being, but the Acharya in the esoteric Buddhism is always an Acharya, which becomes a very noble title, which means his inheritance, practice, and status.

When I came back from the United States twenty years ago, the clothes I wore in the United States were very casual, and that's how it was. On the contrary, the monks in the United States were simple.After returning to Taiwan, my disciples at home said, "Master, you wear this way, so we disciples feel that we have no face because your clothes are wrinkled and cannot be washed clean."I tell you that the monks wear short shirts for a lifetime. Don’t be scared. They wear them until they are torn. They have to be repaired even if they are torn. Unlike lay people who have to change them if they are older, they don’t need to be so troublesome. Monks don’t need to be like this. Life is very simple. We have always worn the most popular clothes, from ancient times to the present.Shoes were also popular in the Tang Dynasty to the present time, and monk socks were the same. Look at the monk socks that Tang Xuanzang carried on to seek scriptures. You can see that his monk socks were the same as we wore. His pants also folded their horns and put them on. So I went to Japan to show them my monk socks and monk socks. They were so envious and admired.That one is really worn, it's so strange and solemn, and very interesting.
It goes without saying that since the Tang Dynasty, at least it has become popular since the Tang Dynasty. It has never been popular before.The emperor praised him for his simplicity and simplicity. It was also given by the emperor. Originally, monks did not wear big red or big purple, but you dare not wear what the emperor gave? The emperor gave them not wearing beheads, so it is not for you to become a monk or not.
