Mr. Nan Huaijin's account
Mencius said: "A great man does not lose his innocent heart. ”This is the focus put forward by Mencius. The adults are not necessarily emperors, nor are they necessarily ministers ; Adults can be emperors, ministers, or the most ordinary people. Adults are transcendent. Only the greats can enter the holy realm. When an emperor is an emperor, he will become a holy king, he will become a good prime minister, and when an ordinary person is a regular saint. The so-called "innocent" means a baby, "innocent heart", which is generally said to be childish, but not childish, but describes a person's innocence and conscience.
Zengzi wrote "The Great Learning", which is the so-called learning of adults. In the end, it is "stop at the highest good", first of which is "clear virtue", "friendship with the people", and then "stop at the highest good". An ordinary person can always maintain his innocent and childish innocence. Without intention, he is the best and the "innocent heart". In "Cai Gen Tan" by Hong Zicheng, a native of the Ming Dynasty, it says: "It is shallow to understand the world, and it is also shallow to stain it.; The world is deep, and the machinery is deep. Therefore, a gentleman is not as good as a simple and simplified person ; Instead of being honest, it is better to be crazy. ”These words of his make sense. If a person knows little about human nature and worldly affairs, his psychological pollution is also relatively shallow. So young people seem to be a rash person when doing things, but they are less contaminated and do not know that others may have bad intentions. I am older and have experienced too many things, so it depends on people and there are many ways. Therefore, he advocated that "thus, a gentleman is not as good as a simple and simple as a gentleman." It seems that a person is well versed in human nature, and understands everything everywhere.; It’s better to be honest, stupid, and keep that naive. A person who is pure and thick can remain naive.
《The couplet that Jia Baoyu in Dream of Red Mansions, the one he doesn't want to read is "Learn knowledge in the world, and understanding human feelings is articles." Although Jia Baoyu's path is different, it may not be correct, at this point, He still maintained his innocent heart. If we look at it from the current perspective, "Adults do not lose their innocent heart", it seems that this person will never grow up and do not understand anything, which is equivalent to being half an idiot. What's the use of a person like this? In fact, the so-called "childish heart" does not mean that it grows up or cannot grow up, but refers to the psychology of always keeping clean, pure, sincere, less love and hate, less grudges, kindness, and loving things.
The realm of true cultivation, such as learning Buddhism and Taoism, understanding the mind and seeing the nature, is initially aimed at restoring the innocent heart. In ancient times, there was a goddess Cao Wenyi. Her two sentences were very good: "No mind is the true heart, and forgetting movement and stillness is the separation of desire." This is the realm of a innocent heart. Mencius said that only such people can be as good as the "adults" advocated by Chinese culture and can be saints and wise ministers.
Human cultivation is to restore to the state of "innocent heart". How can we achieve it? We cannot force ourselves with cramming education, but we must make it satisfy ourselves with heuristic education. This is the same as the Zen education in later generations. We know that the educational methods and routes taken by Zen ancestors are all like this, that is, only by "learning further with Tao" can one reach the state of "Tao". What is the realm of Tao? Here, based on Mencius's point of view, it means returning to the state of "the innocent heart", that is, returning to the state of innate cultivation from acquired cultivation.
How can I do it? To ask him to "satisfie", that is, to understand himself. If you are not satisfied but taught, you cannot use it. For example, many people now learn to practice Taoism and meditate, and they say as soon as they open their mouths: The teacher teaches me to meditate like this, it seems that they practice Taoism and meditate for the teacher. The teacher teaches the key points and the methods, and you must be able to use them yourself.; If you don’t experience it yourself or use it yourself, you will not be able to satisfy yourself, but you will be the only one who gets the chicken feathers as the commanding arrow.
There is a very interesting saying in Zen: "If you are willing to take responsibility for the cliff, you will never be able to deceive the king in the rear." It means that you must be content with your knowledge and cultivation, and inspire your own wisdom, which is the realm of Tao.; It is not stuffed in from the teacher, nor is it accepted, otherwise it will become a religious dogmatic belief, which is not Tao.
Only those who are content with one's own satisfaction can "live in peace", and "live in peace" does not mean that you live in a good house, but that Usually in the position of what you have obtained。“The peace of life means the depth of capital”. This "deep capital" does not mean the modern term "old qualification". "Cai" means capital use, that is, You can apply your Tao in your daily life. Therefore, both the world and the world are in the Tao. Then "they will meet the source of the left and right". Whether you become a monk, live in seclusion, not become a monk, or become an official, they are all in the Tao. Therefore, the way of learning must be "satisfied".
In the past, the saints' words and teachings required us to be content with their own sanity, which also came from the "innocent heart". The cultivation of knowledge and the cultivation of Tao are all of this principle, and we must be "satisfied". And cultivating beyond knowledge requires knowledge. Strictly speaking, knowledge is Tao, and other aspects of knowledge, writing articles, etc. are just knowledge. What is content with one's self-satisfaction is the cultivation of human nature and will not be polluted by the acquired material environment. For knowledge, first seeking proficiency and then seeking specialization, which does not violate moral cultivation.

Thoughts are brought by one’s own life. When a baby’s head is sealed, he begins to have conscious thoughts. The acquired ideological education is becoming more and more "polluted". As people get older, the more knowledge they get, the more "polluted" their thoughts. This is the stubbornness of thought. Therefore, the more experience you have in life, the more stubborn it becomes, and the more "polluted". It is very, very difficult to restore the innocent and lively life of childhood.
True cultivation is to restore oneself to the lively and innocent stage of childhood, and then it will be clean. If the cultivation level returns to that stage, you will not be afraid of aging. Although your brain ages, your intelligence and memory will be restored better. So now we need to study the brain and the highest cultivation. There are a few words in Chinese Taoism: To nourish the brain and live forever; Refining essence into qi, refining qi into spirit, and practicing spirit into emptiness. There is at least one witness, and I am a witness. Now I am in my eighties and nineties. My memory is better than when I was young and my energy is better. This is to tell everyone that life can be maintained by oneself. According to that principle, life can be changed. Lao Tzu tells you the Taoist cultivation method, there are eight words: "Do you concentrate on your energy and be gentle, and you can have a baby? ”Calm down your physical activity function and completely restore it to the baby state. Your mind is clear and happy ,Of course, it refers to non-pathological babies.

《From the beginning of the Doctrine of the Mean, Zisi told us: "The destiny of heaven is called nature. ”This heaven does not refer to the dark blue sky above our heads, nor is it the religious sky, nor is it the astronomical sky. This heaven is the code name of Confucianism, also called Tao. Confucianism uses this "heaven" to represent the essence.
Since the beginning, this life has come naturally, which is called sex, that is, our life comes naturally. But this is not the nature of physical thought, but the nature of nature of nature, it is the nature of this kind,This is how people are born, and all things are like this phenomenon, so it is said that "the destiny of heaven is called nature" and "the destiny of nature is called Tao". This rate is to go straight, very straight, but once we join the acquired thoughts, we are not the rate. For example, a baby is already polluted when he starts to speak, so it is no longer straightforward. Confucianism often describes it as a childlike heart. It is wrong for ordinary people to explain that innocent children are babies. The so-called innocent child is not able to speak. The baby who was born about a hundred days ago has just come out of his robes and his body is red. That baby is called innocent child.
The innocent heart refers to it. That heart is the Tao, the existence of Tao. It doesn't mean that babies are Tao. We adults feel that this heart is pure and clean, without joy or worries. Like the natural innocent heart, it is Tao, which is the so-called "the way of being able to be straightforward". But we humans cannot do it, so when we reach this stage, it is "cultivation of Taoism is called teaching". The innocent heart cannot be achieved. In the ordinary thoughts of troubles, slowly practice and slowly correct one's psychological behavior, so that it can return to the "destiny of heaven is called nature".
“Destiny is called nature, leading nature is called Tao, and practicing Tao is called teaching” (Educational teaching ),There are three stages. These three stages are the same as the spirit of the three outlines mentioned in the beginning of the "Greatitude": "The way of university is to show the bright virtue, to be close to the people, and to stop at the ultimate good."

Lao Tzu is right: "Is it possible for babies to concentrate on being gentle?" If you can do it, your heart will be like a baby who has been born within a hundred days. This heart is lively and has no delusions, and it is just resting. If you tease him, he will smile. Do you think that laughing is meaningful? Then you're the devil ; Isn't it meaningless? It makes sense, he likes to laugh, but it's nothing to do after laughing ; He cried whenever he wanted to cry, and it was okay to cry. The older we ordinary people grow up, the less we don’t understand. After laughing, we stop smiling and thought to ourselves: Why did I smile at him just now? Oops! Couldn't he say I'm crazy, right? A lot of troubles and delusions come to you, and this means that people have grown up. Adults are not worth a penny, and it is even more terrible to become an elderly person, so it is the Tao that always maintains a childlike innocence. If you are innocent and unfinished, it will be over. Therefore, if ordinary people can achieve enlightenment, there is no law of nature! Because there are too many truths in your mind, to put it bluntly: there are too many thoughts in your mind. Oh really! I'm not scolding people! I told the truth, thinking that I was scolding people, either you were crazy or I was crazy.
As long as you can achieve the state of a baby, you will definitely succeed. He is naive. We can't do it. We have a lot of falsehood. We obviously hate you, but we still have to perfunctory you. We smile at you but don't laugh. What a sin! This is related to the wish of the peer. The Buddhist scriptures say: The straight mind is the temple. We can't do it straight, how much fake is there! Every minute and every second is fake, even the inner thoughts are fake, and they are committing evil deeds, so it is not easy to do vows!
To achieve the fruit, no matter whether you are a man, woman, old or old, no matter how old you are, the first step in cultivation must be to achieve innocence. How to cultivate innocence? If the mind is undifferentiated, the physiological and physical laws are transformed, and the entire six senses are not leaked, then it will become a childlike body and immediately enter the Tao. It is absolutely true. Buddhism does not deceive others.
