When Sakyamuni Buddha preached the "Amitabha Sutra", was the rotation of the earth in the morning, afternoon, or noon? Is it summer or autumn? When? We don't know. But at that time there was one direction that was the West. Buddha believed that the Western Paradise was in this direction.

What you said just now is right. It is not realistic to determine an exact West in space. When the Buddha was preaching, he said that the West was here, which was to tell everyone that there was a Western Paradise here. That should be true. It is difficult to clearly locate the Western Paradise, and it is difficult to determine where it is. The Buddhist scriptures say that it is a world that transcends thousands of universes.

The Buddhist worldview has been talked about a long time ago. The "Avatamsaka Sutra" talks about many worlds. Some worlds have sunshine, while some worlds have no sunshine. ； Some people in the world shine, some plants in the world shine ； There are also some worlds where people and plants do not have light, just like our world, they rely on the light of the sun, etc. This is the Three Thousand Great Thousand Worlds mentioned in the Buddhist scriptures. After transcending so many worlds, there is a Western Paradise. According to the Buddhist scriptures, the Western Paradise is a world that does exist as much as our current earth, but there is no way to say its exact location. I think when Shakyamuni Buddha was preaching this sutra, the West was the Western Paradise.
