What is true conversion?

Rooted Living Buddha

What is true conversion?
Author: Shenggen Living Buddha. Renzi Nyima
Whether you are studying Buddhism or practicing Dharma, no matter whether it is a big or small matter, you must have a pious heart before doing so. We must not underestimate it. It can tie you firmly to the Buddhist path like an iron hook, allowing you to obtain the blessing of the magic power of the Three Jewels and make your good roots perfect. Otherwise, you will not be able to enter the Buddhist path, let alone expect to receive the blessings of the Three Jewels.

From the previous article, we know that there are two types of hearts that take refuge, namely a chaotic heart and a pure heart. The true conversion is to return our chaotic mind to a pure heart, and to return our doubts about the Three Jewels to pious and deep faith.

In the past, we had no devotion to the Three Jewels. Why? Because we don’t understand the Three Jewels, we need to listen more to the Dharma and read more books introducing the merits of the Three Jewels, so that we can develop confidence in the Three Jewels from understanding them, and then develop piety, until we have a pure heart, and finally rely on the Three Jewels with our body, speech, and mind and have deep faith in the Three Jewels. This is the true refuge, and truly returns the chaotic mind to a pure heart.

Simply put, the thought of the guru as an ordinary person is a confused mind, while the thought of the guru as a Buddha is a pure mind. Because, if you treat the guru as an ordinary person, you can only get the blessings of ordinary people. ; Treat your guru as the Buddha and you will receive the blessings of the Buddha. This is the experience and secret of wisdom developed by the great masters of the past dynasties. It has been verified for thousands of years and has indeed had the effect of getting twice the result with half the effort for us. Therefore, there is no doubt.

Return worries and egotism to the wisdom of selflessness; Return pain to happiness, malice to goodwill, pollution to purity ; Return selfishness to bodhicitta, delusional thoughts to non-thoughts, and evil thoughts to righteous thoughts. ; Return the scattered mind to a calm mind, the impulse to reason, and the negative to positive. ; Return reincarnation to nirvana, confusion to enlightenment, and all dharmas to their true nature and emptiness ; Return the discriminating mind to non-discrimination, the clear wisdom to emptiness, and the darkness to light. ; Returning the dharma with form to the dharma without form, the conditioned dharma to the emptiness of dharma-nature, the dharma of the mind to the dharma of mind-nature, and the dharma of drama to the dharma without drama - this is the true refuge.
