Do not do any evil, and do all good:“A gentleman is different from a person because of his intentions.A gentleman keeps his heart with kindness and courtesy."The education of sages requires us to be kind, stop evil and cultivate good, and accumulate merits and virtues.
We do everything good without others knowing it, nor do we need to be praised by the public. This is the "Yin Deity".
The following ten things should be done as much as possible!
1. Helping urgently is like helping fish in dry ruts, and saving danger is like saving the bird in Mira.
When we encounter other people’s urgent needs, we must lend a helping hand in time, just like saving a fish that is about to be thirsty and exhausted; When we see others in danger, we must stand up, just like saving the birds trapped in the Miraculous Net.
2. Be proud of the lonely and care about the widow, respect the elderly and pity the poor.
For those orphans, widows, and poor people, we must sympathize with them, and try our best to care and take care of them. When you see an old man, you should develop respect and compassion and not feel disgusted. Sooner or later, we will grow old.
3. Take the hunger and cold roads around the road.
As the saying goes, "A penny stumps a hero." Once people who go out of their homes have run out of money and food, they are more helpless than those who are locally poor.If we take action to help them at this time, although the money may not be spent a lot, for them, it will be a timely help to help them solve the big problem.
4. Advise others to be kind.
Persuading others to do more good deeds is also accumulating blessings for yourself. If someone does less wrong things because of you, not only will the other party benefit from it, but also will have merits as an adviser. If there is no such thing as you, the other party may have committed evil deeds.
5. The family is rich and the relatives are supported, and the year of hunger is hungry to help neighbors and friends.
When your family is rich, don’t enjoy it alone, but help poor relatives and other people in need. When you encounter difficulties, if you have the ability, you should help your neighbors and friends more;If not, we must find ways to help everyone overcome difficulties.
6. The scale must be fair and must not be light and heavy.
As the saying goes, "Meaning does not make money, loyalty does not lose money."When doing business, you must be fair and be free from being a common person. You must not go in a difficult situation or make a small difference.
7. Give up medicinal materials to save suffering, and apply tea to quench thirst and restlessness.
The most painful time for a poor person to get sick and have no money to treat. At this time, what you need most is prescriptions and medicinal materials. Give them the prescriptions or medicinal materials to them and don’t care about benefits. This is a matter of immeasurable merit.
In ancient times, people traveled long distances mostly by walking. The ancients were kind-hearted and often prepared tea for passers-by at their doorstep or under the shade of trees on both sides of the road to relieve the unbearable thirst of pedestrians.
8. Help print scriptures and build temples, temples, and Taoist temples.
All the scriptures of sages and great Bodhisattvas are encouraged to do good and help sentient beings to break through ignorance and enlightenment, so they should be actively printed and circulated.Temples, temples, and Taoist temples are places where scriptures are preached, and we must actively participate in the construction.
9. Light the night light to shine on people.
Although there are street lights in cities, many in rural areas still do not have street lights. Therefore, a bright light can be placed in places where night is difficult to walk to guide pedestrians.
10. Keep precepts and cultivate oneself.
