2022On August 10, 2019, the 13th day of the seventh lunar month, it is the Christmas of Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta!
Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta is the right servant of Amitabha Buddha, and is collectively known as the "Three Saints of the West" together with Amitabha Buddha and Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva (Amitabha Buddha's left servant).《The Sutra of Contemplation of Amitabha Sutra says:“With the light of wisdom, it shines everything, so that it can escape from the three elixirs and obtain supreme power. Therefore, this Bodhisattva is called the Great Strategy. ” 《The Sutra of Siyi says:“My every move shocked the big knot and the Demon Palace, so it was called the Great Trend. ” The Dharma body that is realized is called Da.； The momentum is the Prajna that can be realized. It uses the wisdom of Prajna to break the afflictions and confusions inside and to suppress the evil and resentment outside, so it is called the momentum. ； The ultimate meaning of this is the virtue of liberation. It is called Zhi because the Bodhisattva is adjacent to the extreme holy and is close to the Buddha. Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta is the second Bodhisattva who redeems the Buddha's position in the Pure Land.According to the "Compassion Sutra", when Amitabha Buddha entered the extinction, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva will replenish his position.； After Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva enters his destruction, he becomes a Buddha from the Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta, controls the power of transformation, and is called Tathagata, the King of Zhenbao Mountain.

《Sutra of Contemplation of Amitabha SutraThe size of this Bodhisattva is like Guanyin. The round and radiant surfaces are 25 yojanas each, and the 250 yojanas are shining. He raised his body to shine on all directions, making it purple and golden. All sentient beings with a fate can be seen. But when you see the light of this Bodhisattva's pore, you will see the pure and wonderful light of countless Buddhas in the ten directions. Therefore, this Bodhisattva is called the boundless light. With the light of wisdom, it shines everywhere, so that it can escape from the three paths and obtain supreme power. Therefore, it is called this Bodhisattva and Sage. This Bodhisattva's heavenly crown has five hundred treasures, one treasure, five hundred treasure towers, one tower, one tower, and the appearance of the pure, wonderful and vast land of all Buddhas in the ten directions appearing in it. The flesh bun on the top is like a flower on the head of a bowl. On the flesh bun, there is a treasure bottle that holds all the lights and shows Buddhist affairs. The other body forms are like Guanyin, and there is nothing different. When this Bodhisattva is in the ten directions, everything is shocked, and there are five hundred billion treasures in the local area where the movements are. ； Each treasure is solemn and noble, like the Pure Land. When this Bodhisattva sat, the seven treasures land was shaken for a while. From the golden light Buddha land below, and even the Buddha land above, among them, countless clones of the infinite dust and countless clones of Amitabha Buddha, Avalokitesvara and Mahasthamaprapta all gathered in the Pure Land of Bliss. Open the air, sit on the lotus seat, preach the wonderful Dharma, and save suffering sentient beings. The one who makes this view is called seeing the Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta. This is to observe the physical body. Those who observe this Bodhisattva are called the eleventh Contemplation, which eliminates the sins of life and death of Asankhya countless kalpas. As this viewer, he will not be in the fertile, and will always visit the pure and wonderful lands of all Buddhas. 
Regarding the image of Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, according to the "Amitabha Sutra", the body size of this Bodhisattva is equal to that of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, and the range of round light is 125 yojanas each, illuminating to 250 yojanas. The light of the whole body is purple-gold, and it also shines throughout the ten directions of the country, allowing all beings with destiny to see it with their own eyes. As long as you see the light emitted by one of the pores, you will see the pure and wonderful light of the infinite Buddhas in the ten directions. Therefore, the Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta is also called Bodhisattva Viagra. Because the light of his pore shines endlessly like the light of countless Buddhas in the ten directions. There are five hundred treasures on the heavenly crown of Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta, and one treasure has five hundred treasure platforms. Each one can manifest the pure and wonderful lands of Buddhas in the ten directions. The flesh bun of Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta is like a red lotus, and there is a treasure bottle on the flesh bun, which contains wisdom and light to save all sentient beings. All other good looks are exactly the same as Guanyin Bodhisattva. 
When the Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta takes up his foot and walks, he will give birth to five hundred billion treasures. Every treasure seems noble and solemn, and its solemnity is like the Pure Land. When the Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta sat down, the ground of the seven treasures in his country would shake for a while, and then gradually expand, and all the vibrations would be shaken from the Kingdom of Golden Light and King of Light. 
The chapter on the perfect enlightenment of Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta

The Father Prince of Mahasthamaprapta, with whom he is in the same relationship, rose up from his seat, bowed to the Buddha's feet, and said to the Buddha: "I recall the past, when the sand kalpa of the Ganges River, the Buddha was born, and his name was infinity light； The twelve Tathagatas have one after another. The last Buddha is called the Sun and Moon Light ； That Buddha taught me the Samadhi of reciting the Buddha's name. For example, someone is dedicated to remembering, and someone is dedicated to forgetting ； If these two people meet, they may not meet. The two remember each other, the two remember each other deeply ； In this way, even from birth to birth, it is the same as the shadow and does not differ from each other. Tathagata in all directions, pity all living beings, like mother remembering her son ； If the son escapes, what do you think of? If a son remembers his mother, it is like when he remembers his mother, the mother and son will live in life without any disagreement. If sentient beings remember and recite the Buddha's name, they will surely see the Buddha in the present and come, and they will not be far away from the Buddha. ； It is not easy to be convenient, but you can feel at ease. Like a person with fragrance, he has a fragrance ； This is called: fragrant and majestic. I am the original cause, and I will enter the state of non-birth by chanting the Buddha's mind. ； Now in this world, those who recite the Buddha's name will be taken to the Pure Land. Buddha asked about perfect enlightenment, I have no choice ； If you all absorb the six senses, and your pure thoughts are one after another, you will attain Samadhi. This is the first. ”
