　　All Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are immeasurable, and their incarnations are also immeasurable.And the "original deity" is the incarnation of a Buddha or a Bodhisattva who we concentrate on practicing and pursuing throughout our life.This method of Buddha or Bodhisattva is the main method that we will never give up for life."Original Deity" is not a unique concept in Tibetan Buddhism. Most practitioners in the Han area regard Amitabha and Guanyin as "Original Deity".

    When we have an innate emotion and respect for a certain Buddha or Bodhisattva, we can conclude that there must be a cause and condition for practicing in our previous life.Because of this kind of cause and effect in the past life, we will achieve faster success in practicing the same deity.Some practitioners need to find their own deity and connect their past life's practice with their practice in this life.Generally speaking, it is enough to use Amitabha, Guanyin or Tara as the deity, because they all have special causes and conditions with us.

    Khenpo Dazhen said, "The deity is the Buddha and Bodhisattva who are most destined to be with him." Some people can choose the deity themselves, while others do not know their deity and need to be selected by the master.Xiaba Rinpoche said, "The deity is a method that he specializes in practicing, and the Buddha he focuses on practicing is called the deity."If you have greater faith in which Buddha or Bodhisattva, it means that you have a destiny with this Buddha or Bodhisattva, and you will practice faster if you have a destiny.

    Zongsar Rinpoche believes that there are two ways to practice the deity. One is that you believe that the deity can bless you, and that the deity is the manifestation of various incarnations;One is the way to practice and study with the deity for you.
