In what five situations does Bodhisattvas cannot give money?

Buddha answered

Someone once asked: "Don't Bodhisattvas take compassion as their utmost?Why do so many poor and poor people around you, but the Bodhisattvas do not lend a helping hand?Does Bodhisattvas also have discriminatory minds?”
“Bodhisattva, Sanskrit bodhisattva ”, Transliteration of "Bodhisattva"."Bodhi" means "enlightenment";"Sattva" means "sentient beings";It is also translated as "the sentient beings in the great mind of the Tao".Bodhisattva refers to those who have reached a certain level of practice and are second only to Buddha. The characteristics of Bodhisattvas are "seeking Buddha's paths from the top and transforming sentient beings from the bottom". Only those who have such great wishes can be considered Bodhisattvas.
However, the compassion of Bodhisattvas is not without principles. On the contrary, compassion is guided by wisdom.If a Bodhisattva wants to give money, he must first observe which kind of sentient beings with aptitude are suitable for receiving donations, and which kind of sentient beings will blindly help them, which kind of sentient beings will actually harm them.
《In the Mahayana Sutra, there are five situations in which Bodhisattvas cannot use their wealth position to help and save them.

01.If you see that sentient beings in the wealth position, they have heavy karma.
There is a type of person who has severe karma. Although Bodhisattvas want to help, they cannot help.For example, when Master Damulian saw his mother fall into the realm of hungry ghosts, he used his supernatural powers to hold a bowl to serve rice to offer to his mother, but unexpectedly, because his mother's karma was too deep, he saw that the rice turned into pus and blood and could not eat it;It is also like the purified water of a river. The heavenly beings see the water as nectar, and the hungry ghosts become fierce flames when they see it. This is all due to its evil karma obstacles.Therefore, the lack of wealth of sentient beings is also an obstacle to oneself, and the giving of Bodhisattvas is also a false giving, which is useless to waste time, so the Bodhisattvas first save them and then give them.
02.If you see that sentient beings give money, they will hinder the good deeds.
There is a type of person who has no major obstacles and can receive relief, but if he gives money, it will hinder the arising of good deeds in other worlds.For example, when many people are poor, they can actively practice good and eliminate evil, give alms, keep precepts and release animals, etc. After they have money and status, they start to lie down, do not study or work hard, and do not practice good deeds, and only indulge in personal pleasures. Therefore, they would rather make them temporarily lack and generate good deeds than let them create karma because of their wealth position and lose the great joy of future liberation.

03.If you see that sentient beings lack wealth, they will be disgusted with the present.
There is another type of person who lacks wealth and feels that life is very hard, but instead he can develop a sense of renunciation, observe the three realms like prisons, practice diligently, and recite the Buddha's name to seek rebirth in the Western Paradise;If you give relief, once you gain happiness and wealth, you will become arrogant, extravagant, lewd and greedy in the three realms and will no longer recite the Buddha's name and practice.Because of this, the Bodhisattva is unwilling to give alms to him.For example, many excellent practitioners live in the mountains and practice asceticism for many years but cannot pass the level of wealth and sex;There are also some demolition households in the world who quickly squandered their money after getting rich overnight. The ancients said, "If virtue is not worthy of one's position, there will be disasters." The Bodhisattva's "stinginess" is also to protect their good roots.
04.If you see that sentient beings give their wealth, it is a reason for accumulating bad deeds.
There is a type of person who does not have deep virtue as a carrier. If you rashly give him a high-ranking official 䘵,It will reduce his blessings, and this right will inevitably become the cause of accumulation of bad deeds in his hands. He will do evil in arbitrarily because of the acquisition of wealth. This behavior will inevitably be the cause of degenerating the three paths. Wealth is originally taken from the people and used for the people. Therefore, "if you want to wear it, you must bear the weight." People who are unable to benefit the public cannot give them too much wealth.
05.If you see that sentient beings give their wealth, even if you do not have any other sentient beings, you will suffer the consequences of the misfortune.
There is a type of people who have serious bad habits. When they do not get the position of wealth, they can still feel sorry for themselves and not be bothered by sentient beings. Once they have the position of wealth, they become the cause of damage to countless sentient beings. The bad karma habits are fully displayed, and they do things that harm sentient beings without restraint.Therefore, Bodhisattvas would rather cause such sentient beings to suffer than give their wealth and let more sentient beings suffer.
In short, Bodhisattvas use the eyes of wisdom to observe the roots and causes of sentient beings to relieve suffering and happiness, not simply to give wealth.Therefore, the suffering or happiness that sentient beings feel is all the benefits and benefits of the Bodhisattva, but only the gifts are given according to the opportunity. The forms are different, and it is not that the Bodhisattva has unkindness to be compassionate.The Bodhisattva’s compassion and love for sentient beings is by no means comparable to the love that people in the world think!
