《The Heart Sutra of Prajna Paramita is a very good scripture and a classic scripture of Mahayana Buddhism. We have many benefits to our practice of the full text of the Heart Sutra.Next, let’s take a look at whether the Heart Sutra of Prajna Paramita can eliminate disasters and diseases.
There are three benefits to upholding the Heart Sutra:
1. Cultivate blessings (Eliminate disasters and troubles )
At the beginning of the scripture, it points out that "When Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva practices deep Prajna Paramita, he sees that the five aggregates are empty and overcome all sufferings"; in the latter part of the scripture, he says "Prajna Paramita", which is a great mantra, a great bright mantra, a supreme mantra, and a mantra without any other mantra, which can eliminate all sufferings and is true and not false. It can be seen that reciting the Heart Sutra can indeed eliminate disasters and obtain blessings.
2. Cultivate wisdom (By observing the mind, open up wisdom )
The scripture begins to reveal that "When Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva practices the deep Prajna Paramita, he sees that the five aggregates are empty and overcomes all sufferings."It is clear that you must "conceive the mind" and observe the mind and "free and unobstructed", and you can open up your wisdom.
「How can the mind "Avalokitesvara" be "Asia"? This has a long answer in the Heart Sutra, that is, "The mind is free from obstruction". As long as "the mind is free from obstruction, there is no fear", "the mind is free from inverted dreams", and then "the ultimate nirvana" (Guanzizai )。
But how can we achieve "unwillingness"?
There is still an answer in the Heart Sutra │That is to "see that the five aggregates are empty"; once the "mind" can see that the five aggregates are empty, of course there will be no obstacles?
So what method should be used to "see that the five aggregates are empty"?
The scriptures tell us that when we "practice deeply" and "Prajna Paramita", we can see that the five aggregates are empty.
OK! Then how can we "practice the deep Prajna Paramita"?
The answer is that you can achieve it by honestly practicing the six paramitas such as giving, keeping precepts, forbearance, diligence, meditation and Prajna in order.
Therefore, when ordinary people practice the Six Paramitas and reach the "Deep Prajna Paramita", they can see that the five aggregates are empty and overcome all sufferings. This is the "Avalokitesvara" that the Heart Sutra wants to indicate.
3. Avoid the cycle of life and death (Liberation of life and death )
In addition to revealing that "all dharmas are empty, and are neither born nor destroyed", it also says, "Bodhisattva, based on Prajna Paramita, has no obstruction in the mind... and then there is no fear, and is far away from delusions and dreams, and ultimately Nirvana." It also says, "The Buddhas of the three ages have attained Anuttara Samyaksambodhi by relying on Prajna Paramita". It is explained that ordinary people and saints all practice the "Heart Sutra" by practicing the "Heart Sutra". (The function of the mind guided by Prajna Paramita ),Avoid the cycle of life and death and escape from the major events of life and death.
