Who's the mistake
Not long ago, a friend of mine who moved to a certain country, Ms. Tian and his wife returned to visit their relatives. She told me worriedly about her younger brother Tian Jie's illness in the United States, hoping that I could take her to see the monk Miao Pharaoh and ask for the cause of the disease when I returned to China. (Ms. Tian’s family converted to the Buddha as early as 1993 and has always supported the cause of spreading the Dharma. )
After meeting the master, Ms. Tian introduced her brother's condition in detail.
After Tian Jie went to a certain country to obtain a green card, he married a local Chinese woman.Life was happier at first.Later, for some reason, he suspected that a colleague he was good to use electronic means to hurt him from a distance, causing him a headache and feeling uncomfortable all over.So he didn't dare to go to work anymore and stay at home. But he still felt his colleagues attacking him with electronic instruments. He said that if he had not practiced qigong before and had some skill, he would have been killed long ago. When someone asked why his colleague wanted to harm him, he said he was jealous of his talents. In fact, his computer skills are still due to the help of that person.
Because he was worried and unable to sleep or eat, he covered the walls of the room with tin foil, saying that it could block electronic interference.I also made a large iron box with ventilation holes, and lie in when I sleep and cover it with a lid. After a few days of improvement, I still felt that I could not resist the electronic interference, so I put the metal basin on my head, hid in the corner of the wall or under the bed, and was in extreme fear at any time, and my spirit was almost broken. The doctor said he had a delusional mental illness and prescribed him medicine, but he refused to take it and said he was not sick.
However, Ms. Tian was very afraid that her younger brother's illness would continue to be more serious and the consequences would be unimaginable.Because she knew that a child from her cousin and a third uncle's family had suffered from the same delusional mental illness in the early years. Her cousin had already committed suicide. Although her child was alive, she lived in Anding Hospital for many years, and she still died even though she lived. Now that the same disease is on my younger brother, it must not be solved by taking injections and taking medicine. She wanted to ask for advice from the monk Miao, whose fault was this? Why did the father and brother, and all three of them suffer from the same disease? Will it be passed on to the next generation in the future?
The monk Miaofa Lao said to Ms. Tian: Among your grandfather's generation, there is a literati who likes to write ghostly and horror novels as a pastime. The novels he wrote made people frightened and suspicious, unable to sleep at night. Some teenagers leave a terrifying shadow in their hearts after reading this novel. Some people are afraid of the darkness and dare not walk at night. Some people are even frightened by certain phenomena and sounds in special environments and cause illness and death.Such causes and such consequences, because the novels are spread throughout the world, harming generations of readers, and ultimately harming their descendants.
The more you are loved by novels, the longer you are circulated.Good books bring knowledge and happiness to people, and can also inspire people to make progress, teach people to be filial to their parents and respect their teachers, and abide by the law.For example, Confucius, who was poor throughout his life, devoted himself to education on benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and trustworthiness. Although he was not accepted by the regime at that time, he was more and more valued as he went on. Even all dynasties respected Confucius as a saint, and the descendants of Yan and Huang were nourished by Confucian culture from generation to generation. The Kong family has been passed down to more than 70 generations and has been respected by people from generation to generation. This is called goodness reward. On the contrary, writing novels, dramas, TV, movies, etc. that are horrible, pornographic, lewd and stolen will not only harm today's society, but also cause future generations.Let's recall some of the screenwriters, directors, and even actors reported by the media that committed suicide, were killed, or had accidents in car accidents. (she )What works have appeared in the world and what actions have been seen in the rewards, and you can know that the cause and effect are not at all happy. Therefore, those who hold the pen must understand the cause and recognize the effect. Don’t just want to make money, seek temporary happiness, and leave endless troubles for your descendants. You should know: Even if there are thousands of happiness, impermanence will come, and everything will not be taken away, which will harm future generations. It’s like harming others.Ms. Tian, did your ancestors write horror novels?
My background is quite complicated. When I was young, I rarely knew my grandfather’s situation. One was that the world was separated by one, and the other was that it was political. As for the situation of my ancestors, I know even less, but I occasionally heard my mother tell me a little when I grow up.I know that my father was born in a big family with a scholarly family. His grandfather and great-grandfather were both bachelors of the Qing Dynasty. The first person who translated the novels of Shakespeare or a great writer into Chinese was an aunt of my family. As for who has written horror novels, I don’t know, but it is very likely in a family of people who have been writing for generations.I firmly believe in the truth you just said, otherwise why would there be three mentally ill people in my family?I am very scared now. Who knows when those ghosts and horror novels will disappear in the world? Isn’t this terrible disease going to be passed on from generation to generation? Is there any way to save my brother? Is there any way to end this inheritance?
The master smiled and replied: Don’t be afraid. Since you have explained this, if there is no solution, wouldn’t it add to your heart disease? I just talked about big causes. Specifically for individuals suffering from this disease, they must have committed the same bad cause in their previous lives, such as scaring others to cause illness and death, and only then were reincarnated into such a family and integrated into the great cause and effect of this family.Because you can believe in Buddhism when you encounter it and you can also do your best to protect Buddhism, you have accumulated blessings for your family and formed a Buddha relationship. Therefore, your brother has hope of recovery.Haven't you eaten a vegetarian diet yet?
Yes, Master.
Then can you make the intention of eating long vegetarian food after you go back?
No problem, Master.
OK, you can hold a Dharma Assembly in the temple to save all those who have been frightened and hurt by reading horror novels, and repent for the ancestors who have written such novels on their behalf. Then, you can recite ten "Lingyun Sutra" at home and dedicate it to all sentient beings in the Dharma Realm to use this merit to eliminate the sins of ancestors. There will be no one in the family to suffer from this disease in the future. In addition, give a cup of clear water in front of the Buddha every day, so that your younger brother can sincerely recite the "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva Universal Door Chapter" every day, recite the Great Compassion Mantra three times, and then drink it. Your younger brother's spirit will gradually improve.A small number of horror novels that still exist in the world will disappear for some reason with the blessing of Buddha's power, and the cause of the disease will be completely cured.
Ms. Tian respectfully recorded the matters given by the monk Miaofa.
Now Ms. Tian has gone back.I don't know whether her brother's condition has improved.Because there are no such examples of cause and effect in the stories I encountered, I will write them out first to benefit fellow practitioners to refer to them.At the same time, I also hope that through this passage, the public will be inspired.I would like to dedicate this merit to Mr. Tian Jie and wish him a speedy recovery.
