King Yue of Wu believed in Buddhism and knew that he had stolen money in the treasury and was all about helping the victims.Therefore, the person who was sentenced to the execution should pay attention to his words and expressions when he was about to be sentenced to report.The master was at the execution ground, with no worry on his face, but his expression was calm and unafraid. Everyone felt very strange. The master said, "I have no selfish use of the treasury money. It is all used to help the victims. Now that I am dead, I am reborn in the Western Paradise. Isn't that a great pleasure?"When King Wu Yue heard his words, he pardoned his sins.

From then on, Master Yongming became a monk, practiced meditation diligently, worshiped Buddha and repent, and gained unobstructed eloquence.

When the master passed away, a monk in Fuzhou fell ill. His spiritual sense entered the underworld and saw a statue of a monk on the left side of the Hall of the King of Hell. The King of Hell often came out to worship respectfully.A monk felt strange, and the chief official replied, "The King of Yama worships Master Yongming Yanshou. Master Yongming has practiced diligently in the world. Now he has been reborn in the Western Paradise and attained the highest level of rebirth. King of Yama respects the master's virtues, so he sets offerings and worships frequently every day.
