Great French | Teachings on the exoteric and esoteric
Disease also teaches me to clearly see the connection between sentient beings. When you are not sick, you are all busy with your own things. Everyone seems to be very different from each other. But when you put on the patient's clothes, you find that all kinds of differences are easy to take off. Just like taking off those daily clothes, everyone is not very different in the face of illness. They are worried about the same worries, fear the same fear, expect the same expectation, and say the same words. These "same" are more important, more basic and more dependent on life than those "different", aren't they? There is a saying that people with the same disease mean that having the same disease makes people understand and rely on each other. But I think there is another meaning, that is, only if you have experienced it can you truly understand that pain happens to yourself and you will know what the pain of others is.When we are sick, our relatives and friends will always advise us to "think more" and "think about the positive side", but the difficult-to-tell pain and the fear and sorrow hidden in our hearts make us exhausted. What's the point of being positive or negative? What I need is someone who truly understands how I feel at this moment, understands my weakness, panic, and the humble hope that I just want to live.Theoretically, "understanding" and even "exchange oneself and others", are easy, and only by experiencing the illness, chaos and danger yourself can you know the weight of "understanding", "compassion", "exchange oneself and others".Because of disease, we have a more powerful way to understand the Dharma.
