问：应该以什么心态供养佛菩萨?
答：给佛菩萨做供养不要勉强。“若是不做供养，佛菩萨会不会不高兴?若是不做供养，我感到难为情，我还是做点供养吧!”
还有的人做供养以为是佛菩萨需要。供养佛菩萨一些供品，然后提要求，像交易一样。不是这样的。不是佛菩萨需要，而是众生自己需要种福田。
供养时一定要调整心态，心里要明白：佛菩萨降临接受供养，是悲悯我等众生。若是这样，第一可以对治自己的贪心和吝啬心，第二可以给自己积累福德资粮和智慧资粮。
做供养的时候，我们要观察有没有对治自己的贪心、吝啬心?有没有修施舍心?施舍心是福德的根本，有施舍心才会有圆满的福德。
