作父母的，对子女负有抚养教育的责任，必须认真履行，要为子女提供必要的衣食住等生活资料，令其能正常健康地成长。但要提倡节俭，不要奢华浪费，知一菜一米，来之不易，要倍加珍惜爱护。同时要教以孝顺父母，尊老爱幼，文明礼貌，规矩仁义，尽自己所能，为他人做一些利益之事。
同时教育子女从小就要有一个好的志向，即明确的人生目的，并为此作出努力，好好学习做人的道理及文化知识，不狭隘自私，不贪玩贪乐，不虚妄漂浮，不戏论杂话，成就自己的才能德行，以便将来更好地为造福社会和人民，作出付出，方不愧对自己，不负人生。
另外作母亲的，既为人之母，当尽为母之分，对于尚未出生的胎中婴儿，当体现道义，不失仁慈，令其亦能安然地生到世间，享尽天年，方不失母子之情。若不如此，只顾个人的欢乐，不虑胎儿的痛苦，而随意堕胎，不唯招有杀子之嫌，且由因感果，未来的苦果之报，将不可言说也，慎之！勿自作孽也！
