The way to be harmonious

Zen Master Yaoshan asked Zen Master Shi Tou Xiqian:

I already know a little about the Three Collections and Twelve Parts of Buddhism, but I still can't understand the so-called "pointing directly to the hearts of people and seeing the nature and becoming a Buddha". I beg the Zen master to give me some advice!

Zen Master Shitou Xiqian said: What is positive is wrong, what is negative is wrong, what is positive is negative, what is negative is positive is negative, what should I do at this time?

Although Zen Master Yaoshan had a bond, he did not accept the heart. After a while, Shi Tou Xiqian said:

Your cause and condition is not with me, so you should go to Master Mazu!

When Master Yaoshan went to visit Mazu, he asked the same question.Mazu said:

Sometimes I ask him to raise his eyebrows and blink, sometimes I don’t ask him to raise his eyebrows and blink; sometimes I ask him to raise his eyebrows and blink, sometimes I don’t want him.How do you understand him?

After hearing this, Yaoshan worshipped Mazu without saying a word.Mazu asked:

What did you see and want to worship me?

Yaoshan replied: I was at Zen Master Shitou, just like a mosquito biting an iron cow.

After you understand it, you can understand it in your heart. That is understanding; what you see and experience practice is the realm.

The depth of the realm cannot be spoken of, just like a person who drinks water, knows the cold and warmth.

Zen Master Yaoshan wandered around the world, from Zen Master Shitou Xiqian from Hunan to Zen Master Mazu Daoyi from Jiangxi, and asked in the world.The so-called Zen mind and the so-called nature, if you want to be able to practice it, Zen Master Shitou put affirmation and negation aside, and Zen Master Mazu said with his eyebrows raised and his eyes were also said that it was him, not him.It is him that it is affirmation, not him that it is negative, in fact, Tao--is whether it is the same, there is the same.Zen is the way to be harmonious.
