戒杀的实践
1、能断然戒除肉食最为理想,否则可采渐进的方式,起初每隔几天吃素一次,渐渐增加素食次数,习惯素食口味后自可达到断肉的目标。
2、最少应从不伤害及不杀害一切动物的生命做起,素食当做最后目标。
3、平日多下功夫培养慈悲心,方法是多思考、多反省。
(1)多思考:畜生与人同样具有感觉神经,当它被杀,一只利刀在同一伤口来回反覆锯割;当被生煮,沸水临身,满锅腾跃冲撞,逃生无路。想想这时刀下、锅中若是我身,或慈亲或子女,其痛何极!斯境何惨!此情何堪!
(2)多反省:每个人一生中都曾受过头痛、肚痛的小病苦,或曾受针刺、刀割、烫伤、火伤的小外伤,小小病痛就足以令人坐立不安,难以忍受,何况畜牲临宰,切、割、煎、煮一直到死,剧痛超过我们小伤的千万倍,仔细思量,岂不可悯。
4、常读本书或其他戒杀因果故事,自然能对杀生知所戒惧。
