The third type is to study and practice with a high ambition and parrot.What is true renunciation? What is true bodhicitta? How to take refuge? How to make a scheming?... Some Buddhists despise these basic practices, and they all want to learn and practice profound methods such as Madhyamaka, Mahal Seal, and Great Perfection. They also arrogantly think that they are very knowledgeable and wise.
If you don’t understand these principles at all, how can you practice? It’s impossible! This is achieved step by step.You can just say "empt nature and wonderful existence" and "emptiness of the three wheels", just like a parrot, you can only say it and don't understand its meaning at all!
The fourth type is learning and practice that is only half-understanding and does not understand.Some people have the opportunity to come into contact with the systematic practices, which are also complete and special.However, he does not cherish it, does not learn seriously, and does not practice honestly.He knew a little about the basic principles, but he had never thought or observed them seriously.My own continuity is separated from Buddhism, but I still haven’t learned it well, and I still haven’t practiced it.

The fifth type is formal learning.Many people are also very diligent in chanting Buddha's name and chanting mantras, but they don't need to work hard on their minds.After studying for a long time, my worries and habits remained, my personality did not change, and my greed, anger, ignorance, arrogance and doubt did not decrease at all.This kind of Buddhist practitioner is like a stone in water. It is useless to soak it for many years. It seems to have changed color and softened in the water. It is taken to dry for a while and it is still so hard after it is dry.
The sixth type is backpacking learning.I read a lot of books, but I didn’t really understand them, but my knowledge obstacles became heavier and heavier.The attachment is getting stronger and stronger, and there are more and more discriminating thoughts. Then the attachment to the Dharma and the master, and the choice and argue everywhere, and use Buddhism to create karma, which is so terrible!
The eighty-four thousand methods are all methods to help sentient beings escape from troubles and pains. They are all skillful and convenient methods, and they are all Buddhist teachings.All masters and good teachers are one and are the incarnations of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.If you have discrimination, it means that you have not learned it or even learned it in a biased manner, which has caused obstacles to liberation and becoming a Buddha.It’s like the burden on your back, getting heavier and heavier, and the more you learn, the more you feel pressured.
The seventh type is learning and practice that is reversed in sequence.What is the boundary between transcendental law and worldly law? What is the difference between Mahayana and Hinayana Buddhism? What is the difference between exoteric and esoteric Buddhism? How to distinguish between the definite and the indefinite truth in Buddhism? Only by clarifying all these can you truly practice.Many Buddhists do not understand these differences at all, and take them out of context and misunderstand them. As a result, they are full of contradictions and conflicts, and the more they learn, the more confused they become.If you truly understand it, there will be no contradictions and conflicts, and everything will be done.
When studying Buddhism, you must understand the truth and never separate Buddhism from continuity.You must always observe your continuum. Is the knowledge mentioned by the Buddha in your continuum? Is your continuum like that? When your continuum also possesses those merits, this is learning Buddhism.
You use this mirror of Buddhism to reflect on yourself and correct your body, speech and mind well. This is practice.If you practice blindly, you will never be liberated and you will never be able to achieve success. This is all a waste of time and a waste of human body!
