Life is not accidental, cause and effect connect past and present lives

《NirvanaThe Sutra says: "The reward of good and evil is like a shadow following the body; the cause and effect of the three lives will not be lost.” (No interruption, mistakes. )However, some people believe that everything in life is accidental and there are no causes and consequences.Someone saw good people sufferBad retribution，When evil people receive good rewards, they doubt cause and effect.Some people say: If you die, you will die.If you die, life will have no value;Learn BuddhismPractice，It is meaningless; and people who always do evil are too cheap.In the final analysis, it is because it does not understand the principle that the three lives are connected by cause and effect.The Buddhist scriptures say it well:

If you want to know the causes of the previous life, you will receive them in this life.If you want to know the fruits of the next life, the author of this life is.

This shows the good we have received in this lifeBad consequencesRetribution is the cause of karma that you sow in your previous life.For example, if you suffer a lot in this life, it must be that you have too much killing karma in your past life.And what you do in this life should be rewarded in the next life.

If you sow the cause of karma, you will definitely receive the consequences, but there are differences between sooner or later.Generally speaking, there are three situations:

1、Current reward: Do good deeds in this life and enjoy blessings in this life; do evil deeds in this life and receive evil retribution in this life.

For example, the Sichuan Daily published an incident where the deputy manager of a company in Wanxian City usually likes to help others and jumped into the water to save people several times.One day, he took a taxi to do business and returned home. He passed by a road and was often traffic jams, but today he passed smoothly.When he arrived by the river, he heard that a child had entered the water. He immediately stopped the car, jumped into the water, and grabbed the girl. It turned out to be his biological daughter.I felt that there was someone under my feet, so I grabbed it and saw that it was his niece. He rescued the two girls and fainted.The girl's mother and mother-in-law rushed over after hearing the news. Seeing that the child was still alive, she wanted to thank her savior. When she looked back, she realized that it was their relative.The newspaper commented: "A book is made without coincidence."From the perspective of Buddhism, it is not a coincidence, but a rule by karma.Because he usually has many good causes, he encounters good fate (Fate refers to conditions, opportunities, etc. );If good causes and good causes are combined with good causes, good rewards will be produced.

Another example is published in the Xinmin Evening News: A middle-aged woman in a county in Jiangsu Province walked to the riverside with the same man and heard someone shouting "Help!" the man was preparing to save the person.And the woman actually said, "Stop meddling in other people's business, it's important for us to walk, and he will float up by himself after a while."A man next to him said angrily, "This woman's heart is so bad!" Later, the man went to rescue the person. He was a thirteen-year-old junior high school girl who fell into the water on a bicycle. She was dead because she fell into the water for too long.Who is this girl? It turns out to be the woman's biological daughter.Everyone onlookers said, "This is really a retribution when you look at the eyes!" This is the domination of evil karma. The evil causes you sow in normal times will inevitably bring bad retribution.

2、Life Retribution: Do good and evil in this life, enjoy happiness and suffer in the next life.

This is also the category when parents accumulate good deeds and their descendants enjoy blessings.Use Tongrentang’s example to illustrate.Tongrentang has a history of more than 200 years.Its ancestors believed in Buddhism and wanted to do things to save the world and live the world if they failed to achieve fame. They opened a Chinese medicine shop and made medicines very seriously.A Chinese patent medicine that requires gold after high temperature as raw material.He concentrated the gold jewelry of women in the house.Relatives and friends laughed at him: "If you do business like you, your capital will be lost.You just write it on the advertisement, just use gold, but the buyer can't see it."But he said, "Everything we do, we plant the cause. If we plant good causes, we will not receive bad retribution."I still insisted on using gold.Sure enough, this drug has good efficacy and a prosperous business.His family has made both wealth and people for more than two hundred years.After liberation, the public-private joint venture, and the last boss was Le Songsheng, who handed over all the means of production to the state without reservation and was appointed as the deputy mayor of Beijing.The main person in charge of Tongrentang General Account is still his relative.He also donated all the secret recipes.His family advised him to leave some as a way out, but he disagreed, saying, "The government has great power and can help thousands of people. This is a kind of good cause and will naturally receive good rewards."As a result, the government gave him dividends and had good economic benefits.It means that this capitalist understands itCause and effect。

3、Later retribution: Now you do good and evil, and you can only receive retribution in the second, third life, or even hundreds of thousands of disasters.

For example, Wuda, a national teacher in the Tang Dynasty, was from Sichuan and became a monk when he was young.Once, I was placing a order in a temple in Chang'an. At that time, a monk was sick and his body was very smelly. Many people felt disgusted, but he went to take care of him.The monk recovered from his illness and said to him when he broke up, "If you have any disaster in the future, you can come to a mountain in Pengxian, Sichuan to find me."Later, he became the national teacher, and foreigners paid tribute to agarwood chairs, but the emperor dared not use them, so he offered them to the national teacher Wuda.He became complacent and relaxed his practice, and immediately suffered bad retribution and suffered from facial sores in a human body, which was very painful.So he went to Pengxian to find the monk.The monk said: You planted a bad cause in the Han Dynasty hundreds of years ago, and you are only now receiving retribution.It turned out that he was a high-ranking official in the Western Han Dynasty, named Yuan Ang.One of his colleagues is Chao Cuo.At that time, the emperor wanted to reduce the power of the princes. Chao Cuo suggested reducing the military power of the princes, causing the princes to unite to besiege the central government, and the emperor was frightened.Yuan Ang took the opportunity to make a statement and said that it was not the emperor's intention, but Chao Cuo's idea, and killed Chao Cuo.Chao's wronged soul has always wanted to take revenge.However, after Yuan died, he became a monk in his next life and was a monk for ten generations. Chao had no chance to take revenge until Yuan became the national master and sat on the agarwood chair and became proud, his practice regressed.The guardian godThen he left.In this way, Chao Cuo found an opportunity to retaliate.At this time, Master Wuda found this eminent monk in Peng County and resolved his grievances before he was saved.Later, Master Wuda left behind a book "Samadhi Water Repentance". In the preface, he described the use of Samadhi Water to cure human facial sores.This shows that the causes and conditions planted hundreds of years ago (condition )When you mature, you will inevitably be rewarded.

Although ordinary people cannot see the last two kinds of consequences, they should know that there must be a result if there is a cause.From what you have suffered in this life, you can infer the cause of the past; from what you have done in this life, you can predict the consequences.We must believe: “Good and evil will be rewarded in the end, and we can only fight to come sooner or later.”

Why do evil people get good rewards? This is because they have deep roots of good roots cultivated in their past lives, and now the good fate is mature first, so they enjoy blessings first; if he does not do evil things in this life, blessings will be even better.As for the evil causes he sowed in this life, they will not disappear on their own.causeWhen you mature, you will receive the reward you deserve.

Why do good people suffer evil retribution? This is because they committed serious sins in their past lives, and now the evil retribution is ripe first, so they suffer evil retribution first.It's like a few batches of fruit planted in an orchard. Although the first batch of varieties is not good, they mature first, and of course they bear fruit first, and they receive reward first; although the second batch is a good breed, they mature later and have no fruit yet, so they will naturally receive reward later.If he does not do good in this life, the evil reward will be even heavier; on the other hand, the good causes he planted in this life will not be white, and he will receive corresponding blessings in the future.Therefore, we first see evil retribution.
