The abstinence of killing as mentioned last time is the foundation of stopping swords and weapons. We all understand that to eliminate the disaster of swords and weapons, we must put down the slaughter of swords and swords.Learn Buddhism。Is there really reliable way to change the past and repair the past?What scholars are going to talk about now is "cause and effect can be transformed."

1. The law of cause and effect

(1)If you don’t eliminate everyone here, some of you will definitely think: You say that cause and effect can be transformed, which seems to be inconsistent with the principles of Buddhism. Buddhism talks about the cause and effect, and the law of cause and effect cannot be eliminated. Why do you say that cause and effect can be transformed?right!The law of cause and effect cannot be eliminated. There is also a verse in the sutra saying: "If you have hundreds or thousands of kalpas, your karma will not be destroyed.causeIf you meet the times, you will still be rewarded."It means: If you have passed such a long time of hundreds of thousands of kalpas, the sins you commit will not be eliminated.You should know that there is a "response" between the cause and the result. When the cause and the condition meet, the result will still be what you have to bear.

(2)If you did a lot of evil in the past, wouldn’t it be impossible to do a lot of good to offset it now?right!impossible!Because the law of cause and effect cannot be offset, good will be rewarded, and evil will be rewarded.Bad retribution,It is a certain truth. It is like planting melon seeds on a piece of land at the same time, and also planting bean seeds. In the future, the melon seeds will definitely grow melons, and beans will definitely grow beans. Melons will not eliminate beans, and beans will not eliminate melons.But now we are talking about the change of cause and effect. How to change the Dharma?

It seems that doctors need to prescribe the right medicine when treating patients. If the patient has a fever, he should prescribe the cold medicine. If the patient has a cold disease, he should prescribe the warm and tonic medicine. Prescribe the right medicine is the good medicine!If the patient uses tonic for fever and prescribes cold medicine for cold diseases, this kind of doctor will kill people.Having said that, some people may say, “Do good and build bridges and roads to eliminate the disaster of swords and weapons."This kind of words is unreliable, because being robbed by weapons is not the result of your past destruction of roads and bridges!Now we use bridges and road construction to offset this. This is a bad word and cannot be explained. It is like a quack doctor prescribes prescriptions without recognizing the disease and prescriptions for patients with fever.You should know that the retribution for the sword and war disaster was created in the past, so the cause of killing was caused by the cause of killing. Now, if you want to eliminate the cause of killing, there is no fate, and if there is no fate of killing, there will be no consequences of killing, and there will be no consequences of the sword and war disaster.If you don’t understand this principle of severance, I will tell you a story to quote.

What should I do?"The master taught him: "You must express your true feelings and repent. If you have not yet achieved results, you can just break the fate."But this person only knows the cause and the result, but does not understand the truth of fate.The master skillfully and conveniently gave him a bag of thorns and taught him to plant them on two small roads, both in the open space behind the temple, and to sprinkle lime on the east side and not water them;Plants in the west should be watered every day.The mage also told him to walk barefoot every five days, and walk around the east and west.

This person had no feeling when he walked around the world for the first time.The mage asked him to still water the water every day in the west, and still not water the water in the east.After another five days, I also walked around naked.After another five days, I suddenly saw that the western terrestrial terrestrial thighs had already teethed.In another five days, I saw that the buds had grown three inches and yellow flowers bloomed.Five weeks later, when I walked barefoot in the west, I was thorned by the thorns and couldn't walk.The mage asked, “Where is the east?"The man replied, "I don't feel anything.""The mage said again: "Territus seeds are planted on both sides of the east and west. Why can we go to the east and the west?"At this time he suddenly realizedconsciousness,It turns out that lime is sprinkled in the east, but it is not watered, so it will not work if the fate is broken;Watering the water every day in the west will bring strength to the increase of the water.Therefore, at the same time, the ones in the east do not sprout but the ones in the west are lush. This is the principle that if there is fate, it will be born, and if there is no fate, it will be destroyed. Cause and effect can be transformed.

(3)Deadly

After hearing what you said, we all believe that the disaster has not yet come. Come and break the fate quickly, and there will be no result.But what method should be used to break the fate?The three levels of kung fu in the middle and lower stages of the cessation of fate are divided into three levels: the lower level of kung fu will no longer kill from today, and this is a good person;In the middle skill, not only does not kill animals but also maintain a long-term life, but doing so is equivalent to self-salvation of the Arhat;The best skill not only does not kill animals, but also eat vegetarian food for a long time, but also needs to release animals and save their lives. This kind of person is equal to a Bodhisattva who benefits others.

The above third classMerit,Do as you can.Let's describe it in the following:

1. Make efforts to eliminate causes and avoid killing - easy practice "removing old karma with the circumstances, and not creating new disasters." First, talk about the inferior merits of easy practice. We must start with cutting off causes and avoiding killing. Ancient great masters have two verses: "Removing old karma with the circumstances, and not creating new disasters."It means: if you have meat to eat, eat it, if you don't have meat, you will eliminate old sins as you go with the flow. Never kill animals and kill lives in order to eat meat, and commit new sins and suffer disasters.There is a Basha Treatise in the Tripitaka, one of which says: "If you keep the precept of not killing for a day and night, you should never encounter any disaster in the next life."You see, the merit of just holding on to one day and a night is so great, let alone not killing for a long time, wouldn’t it be even greater?Having said that, someone may ask: I heard you that not killing is to avoid disasters in the next life. If you hope to avoid disasters in this life, is it possible?My answer is "possible"!

Evidence: Fake tits to avoid drowning

Once upon a time, a man took a boat out and saw two lively fish in the owner's wooden barrel inside the boat, swimming around in the bucket, and maybe he was going to kill Zuo Shan at noon. The man said to the owner, "Can you sell these two fish to me?""The ship owner said, "Okay!But this fish is very expensive, two tails cost 300 yuan, and you will cook it for you when you want to eat it."The man took out three hundred dollars to buy fish for the ship owner. He couldn't bear to eat it for a moment, so he said, "I won't eat it today, don't cook it.""After a day, the ship owner asked him again: "Do you want to cook fish today?""The man replied: "No, no!I'll eat Guanyin Zhai today."In fact, this person did not eat Guanyin Zhai. He saw two fish swimming around in the wooden bucket water. It was so cute that he couldn't bear to eat it. He felt even more pitiful when he killed it and cooked it. So he lied and said that he had eaten Guanyin Zhai. Finally, he finally put the fish into the river and gave them freedom.

Another day later, the boat was sailing in the river. Suddenly, the wind was blowing heavily, and the waves were surging. The people on the boat were all frightened. While kneeling down and shouting for help, the word "Fake Zhai" suddenly appeared in the clouds, and everyone could see clearly.Someone asked, "Who on the boat eats fake vegetarian food?"After asking several times, the man thought, "I pretend to eat Guanyin Zhai, and I must have violated the rules of heaven. If I hide it, wouldn't it harm everyone?"An instantly responded loudly: "It's me, it's me!""Everyone said, "You go down!"Just push him into the water.

It was strange that a wooden board floated somewhere. The man who jumped into the water grabbed the board safely. A strong wind blew him to the shore and was rescued.Looking at the boat again, it could not withstand the storm of storm and turned over. All the people in the boat sank into the bottom of the river to feed the fish.

Let us all think about it. A thought of kindness will save a life.

2. The middle-level practice is both severing and incompetent—it is difficult to do

Besides, medium-sized merits are not only necessary to abstain from killing, but alsovegetarian diet,It is a little more difficult to implement than before, because people are born with the habit of eating meat, so it is difficult to stop eating meat.What should I do if it is not easy to break?

(1)The terrifying soldiers are coming” Are you afraid that the sword soldiers are coming?If you are afraid, if you put this bowl of meat in front of me, you should visualize how terrifying and scared the animal was when it was slaughtered, as if it had been a kidnap. In order to avoid the kidnap, I will not eat this bowl of meat. This is the first step in visualization.

(4)“The fourth step of visualization: If we are going to be killed, are we willing or unwilling to be killed?At this time, you should visualize: when animals are slaughtered, and the bitterness of cooking, cooked by knife and anvil, I dare not eat this bowl of meat again in order to avoid being killed!

If these four visualizations are done, not only will you not want to eat meat anymore, but you will further reveal and repent of your past wrong behaviors, and you will always stop eating meat in the future.

3. The superior practice cuts off the fate and releases animals—the mutual difficulty

(1)“Better to build a seven-level pagoda”. Let’s talk about the best merits. In addition to cutting off the causes, one must also release animals. There is a saying in Buddhism: Save oneAll living beings,Better to build a seven-level pagoda.The seventh-level pagoda is the seventh-story pagoda of the temple. This way you can see how great the merit of saving a sentient being is, because the Buddha is determined to save sentient beings, so saving a sentient being's life is the same as repaying the Buddha's kindness!

(2)“The past is favored by the future Buddha” We all know that the six realms include past parents, brothers, sisters, and relatives.The six realms are the heavenly realm, the human realm, the Asura realm, the animal realm,Hungry ghostTao, hell.In these six realms, the nature of all sentient beings is originally pure and bright. Because they are contaminated with ignorance from beginning to beginning, they are confused and deluded in these six realms, born and dead, dead and born, and once they are reborn, they will have parents and relatives.Since countless kalpas, the number of parents and relatives cannot be calculated, because the ordinary people are confused about being separated from the yin as soon as they are reincarnated, and they cannot see it themselves.If you can't see it, why can you know it?You should know that this is what the Buddha said, Sakyamuni Buddha is a great manwisdomThe great saint who has achieved great enlightenment can see clearly with the Buddha's eyes.He said, “All sentient beings have Buddha nature."Once sentient beings meet the Buddha's fate, they can become Buddhas by believing in Buddhism and studying Buddhism!Therefore, all sentient beings are not only their past parents, but also future Buddhas. If you give up their lives, you will be a Bodhisattva (you cannot become a Buddha without being a Bodhisattva).

Official case: Master Yongming released the animals and was saved

There was a master Yongming in the Song Dynasty. His surname was Wang when he was a secular person and worked as a checkpoint officer in Jiangkou to manage taxes. He seemed to be a person who collects tariffs at the port now.He is a Bodhisattva who comes back with his wish. Because he lives by the river, he sees fishermen catching lively fish every day, which arouses compassion and takes out his monthly salary to buy fish and release it.After a while, the fishermen all knew that Mr. Wang was a good customer, so they picked all the live fish and sold them to him to release them.His monthly salary is not enough to buy fish, and he is sad if he doesn’t buy here or there. What should he do if he buys the salary?

Just take out the money from the tax treasury and buy fish and release it.Once, when the superior supervisor came to investigate the treasury once a year, he was unable to return the preparatory measures and was reported to the court by his superiors, and the government ordered him to be sentenced to death.You should know that the national treasury is important, and all the money in the treasury must be approved by the government before it can be used. This time, Mr. Wang privately took out the gold and silver of the treasury, and took a lot of it in a year. Without the approval of the government, he was sentenced to death (the laws in the past were much stricter than now).

Everyone sympathized with him, knowing that Mr. Wang did not use the treasury money for food, drink, gamble, but he was also helpless.At that time, the government sent a prison official named Xu Zixin. He usually made friends with Mr. Wang. Before the prison, he said to him: "Although I know that you used public funds for good deeds, my superiors ordered me and I have no way to save you now, so I have to ask you to forgive me!"Mr. Wang replied to him, "Thank you, brother, I have no regrets in my death, because I have saved millions of lives, and now I can only seek rebirth in the Western Paradise."After saying that, he clasped his hands and thought to himself, "Amitabha" and was not afraid of death at all.

As soon as noon arrived, the executioner ordered the executioner to behead him.But when the knife hit Mr. Wang's head, he heard a clang sound, it was so strange that the big knife had been broken into three sections.The deceased official Xu Zixin made a letter immediately and reported this to King Qian Miao.King Qian Miao was also a merciful person who believed in Buddhism and ordered the pardon of Mr. Wang's death penalty and restored his official position.After Mr. Wang was released, he was unwilling to become an official again. He had seen through the worldly feelings and immediately became a monk and studied Buddhism, diligently cultivating precepts, concentration and wisdom. Later, he was praised as the sixth generation of the Pure Land Sect, Master Yongming, who once wrote the "Four Materials Brief Verses" and was famous for a while.

Finally, I will tell you the simple method of releasing animals:

First, you must bless a cup of Great Compassion Mantra, sprinkle it on the body of sentient beings, and recite it with your mouthConfession:“All evil karmas I have committed in the past are all born from greed, anger, and ignorance in the beginning, and are born from the body, speech and mind. Now I repent to the Buddha." I will recite this three times before chanting it for it.Convert:“Take refuge in the Buddha, take refuge in the Dharma, take refuge in the Sangha, take refuge in the Buddha and do not fall into hell, take refuge in the Dharma and do not fall into hungry ghosts, take refuge in the Sangha and do not fall into animals..." We must know: Why do we say the Three Refuges to sentient beings?Because all sentient beings have two lives, one is life and the other is wisdom life.Releasing animals not only saves his life, but also saves his wisdom life.Tell him the Three Refuges, and he will not go to hell, be hungry ghosts, or become animals in his next life, so as not to fall into the three evil realms and suffer;If you get a human body,BodhiIf your heart is deeply convinced of Buddhism, you will have the possibility of becoming a Buddha. This is the wisdom to save it.For example, when we see someone killing life next to the road or anywhere, and we cannot save it, we should express compassion and recite the Three Refuges and Mantras for it as soon as possible, so as to summarize the compassion of our Three Jewels disciples.

Here is the simple method of releasing animals, and then I will say another verse to end this question:

“Because it is feared, it will not grow without fate. The thorns are gone from water and it is hard to expect to be formed!”

Many evil causes created in the past are certainly terrible, but without any increase of fate will not happen.For example, as mentioned earlier, the master taught that man to plant the terrestrial grass on the east and west sides. The terrestrial grass on the east and west sides are similar toBad consequences,The blood flows through the skin as soon as you step on your feet;But if you don't water it, it will be difficult to grow, and it will form thorns.
