Turned into a teacher and friend. The 58th Avatamsaka Sutra says: Good teachers far away, bad teachers near. The Lotus Sutra's metaphor says: Give up knowledge and be close to good friends. The 22nd Nirvana Sutra says: Bodhisattvas are not afraid of evil images, and are afraid of evil knowledge.
