(Term) The different name of Buddha. It means saving sentient beings on the other shore. The Amitabha Sutra says: The ship master is the great ship master. Carry all living beings, cross the river of life and death, and set up the shore of Nirvana. The twenty-two of the Avatamsaka Sutra of Jin says: It is like a boat master who does not live on this shore, does not live on the other shore, and does not live on the middle flow, but can save all living beings on this shore and reach the other shore, without rest when traveling back and forth. The ninth Nirvana Sutra says: The Tathagata is called the Supreme Boat Master.
