We can use these four things to support monks!

All Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and ancestors of all generations teach all sentient beings and receive public offerings. This is also the teaching of the Buddha. But remember that the Buddha’s teachings are limited to four things.
The first is "food". The Buddha went out to beg for a bowl of rice every day during his lifetime. Our body lives in the world as a karma body, and we have to eat every day, which is the offering of food.
The second is "clothing". The clothes are worn out and can be provided with clothes for homes.
The third is "bedding gear", which means that what we are talking about now is sleep, and monks still need to sleep. The Buddha did not stipulate that monks would not fall back. There was no such regulation. It was a personal matter, and there was no provision in the Buddhist scriptures. In short, one principle is that the simpler life is, the better, so you accept the offerings of bedding.
Fourth, the body will get sick, and the illness cannot be avoided. When it is a disease, you will receive the offering of "medicine".
The Buddha only tells us these four things, called "Four Things Offerings". This is in accordance with the Dharma and monks should accept it. In addition to this, offerings are not accepted. This is called "pure teachings." The offerings beyond our four things are not pure, and we must understand them ourselves.
I am in many places, and there are many good believers who kindly want to build a temple to offer to me. The Buddha does not have this article in the scriptures, and does not say that he accepts other people's temples, and there is no such article.
Shakyamuni Buddha never accepted the offerings from other people’s temples throughout his life. When we study Buddhism, we must always take the Buddha as an example. When the Buddha preached, many wealthy elders provided places for preaching. Those places were borrowed, and the ownership and owner were all believers at home.
《The Amitabha Sutra and the Diamond Sutra are given to the Jerusalem Garden. The Buddha has taught many sutras in this place. The property rights of that place are for the Elder of Lonely, Prince of Jerusalem and Elder of Lonely, and Shakyamuni Buddha just borrows it, and this is OK. It is absolutely impossible to accept his property rights, so it would be wrong to accept his property rights.
Buddhism teaches us to become monks and leave home, but we didn’t expect to accept another family and a small family to accept another family. Wouldn’t this be a big trouble? You should know that home is a burden, called "home tired".
Becoming a monk means getting rid of the fatigue of your family, but you will be exhausted when you set up a great temple! This is what we need to figure it out and understand it.
I often think of Shakyamuni Buddha. When we live the life of the Buddha, it is a highly wise life, which is to practice Prajna Paramita. This is how we truly follow the teachings of the Buddha.
I also advise our young fellow practitioners not to build a temple. If you build a temple yourself, it will hurt yourself in the end, and you will be uneasy all your life.
